Because Koichi develops his stand later on and is a key part in the suspense of the story. It would ruin the surprise for the people who didn't read the manga.

Since when does Japan care about people who don't read the manga? They aren't faggots who cry "muh experience" when they read a spoiler. And JoJo is decades old.
Have they got to the first stand battle yet? If I remember correctly it's before Joseph arrives and someone tries to kill him before doing so, looking forward to The Hand and Crazy Diamond teaming up for the first time. One of my favourite moments from part 4.

They probably want to introduce JoJo to new generations (teens or kids included) and let them enjoy the surprise. Not everybody is as autistic to care if japanese teens read the manga or not.
