Why is there no anime at 60fps? Your monitor on which you watch

Why is there no anime at 60fps? Your monitor on which you watch anime is 60 hz, so 60 fps should be the norm instead of 24 fps.

Would make anime seem a lot more real.

Overclock your anime

google it

It would require an incredible budget you retard
>>
Anime isn't made to be watched on a computer monitor
>>
>>140075476
>a lot more real

Why would you want that?

Anime hardly ever runs at 24 fps. It's generally done in 1/2 or even 1/3 of that.

It isn't possible to make money when you need to draw that many frames.

If you want that kind of frame rate you're only getting it in something that's entirely cg.
>>
>>140075602
are you sure? I don't have the raw here, but pussub rip only has the CG ED at 24fps.
>>
>>140075881
>>140075602
And even at 24fps it's not even animated on 1s.

So I'll call bullshit.
>>
>>140075881
Fairly certain, I remember there being a thread about it, though I haven't watched it since it finished airing.
>>
>>140075476
We barely get animation and you want 60fps
>>
>>140075959
maybe someone ran it through an interpolator. doesn't mean the BDs are in 60fps or even if it were encoded at 60fps that still wouldn't mean it's animated at that rate.
>>
>>140075476
>why can't animators draw more than twice as many frames when they're already overworked and underpaid
I don't know but maybe >>>/v/ has the answers
>>
>>140075476
>Your monitor on which you watch anime is 60 hz
It's not, actually.
>>
>>140075539
i think there is a program that lets you do it

svp or something
>>
>>140075573
>Anime isn't made to be watched on a computer monitor
bullshit. 99% of people here watch anime on their pc monitor
>>
The human eye can only process 2 frames per second anyway, so anything higher is a waste.

/a/ is infected with the worst sort of peasant.
>>
>>140076467
That's irrelevant.
>>
>>140076574
those are different things. smooth motion just blends two frames. svp interpolates them.
>>
>>140076574
madvr is juts placebo

svp actually speeds the anime up for the monitor rate and then slows it down for playback
>>
Our eyes only can handle up to 24 fps though
>>
>>140076467
>99% of people here

100% of the people here are irrelevant to the anime industry.
>>
>>140075476
Frames are money.

Most anime actually runs in twos or in threes, meaning every frame is repeated two or three times. They're not even 24 fps, they're 12 fps or fucking 8 fps.
>>
>>140075476
Why are you watching animation if you want it to look real?
>>
>>140077153
This. You only ever see 24 fps for brief moments, if at all.
>>
>>140075476
Because you have to get those frames somewhere. So you can
1. Go full CGI and have as many frames per second as you want,
2. Draw everything and say goodbye to your shekels,
3. Draw a normal amount of frames and interpolate them, naively hoping it won't look like a pile of shit.
>>
>>140075476
One thing to consider, your eyes may see the different between 30 Hz and 60 Hz monitor refresh rate due to flickering. But your eyes may not be able to see the delta movement difference between 30Hz animation frame and 60 Hz animation frame, because the delta is so small.
>>
>>140077278
>2. Draw everything and say goodbye to your shekels

Not to mention all the headaches you would get from having to deal with that many frames and the animators needed to draw them, it's a logistical impossibility.
>>
>>140077444
not impossible, just prohibitively expensive.
>>
>>140076467
>Nips record from broadcast and buy BD/DVDs
>filthy gaijin stream or torrent
Let's think about this for a second.

Also >>140076618
>>
>>140079577
>>140076467
not relevant, really. TVs can do 60fps too.

Disgusting.
