Senjougahara warms up considerably over the course of the series. Though if you find initial friction to be bad, not sure you'd be able to handle Monkey's first arc, considering how badly she fucks up Araragi. She did feel guilty about it though, which is why she became a total bro to him. Don't know anyone who holds the rainy devil stuff against her the way people hate Snake for the Medusa arc.
But if you really like dialogue and fan service this show is worth a watch. Production order, before you ask.

That's because Nadeko hasn't been focused on again (in the anime atleast) after the snake god stuff was resolved + said snake god stuff was pretty much dealt with without actually resolving much about her character. Out of the original set of girls she undeniably has the slowest moving character arc.
This isn't me hating or praising her character or trying to start the usual Snakefag shit, personally she's like Gahara to me where I'm largely indifferent towards her.
As far as Kanbaru is concerned, she gets way more screentime and a lot more of it is her being friendly with Araragi so of course it'd give a completely different impression. On top of that, something that's slightly downplayed in the anime is the fact that she's pretty much made out to be perfect for Araragi. Moreso than Hanekawa, where the savior/worship complex thing and the whole "everyone drops their spaghetti around her" she has gets in the way of that (Nisio making an effort to keep his waifu pure I guess)
