The target audience for those shows is those poor souls who continue to drudge through life despite having grown weary of it, and find themselves in a deep nostalgic longing for the lives depicted in moeshit anime. Or more superficially, there is also a large set of viewers prefer to gawk at the aesthetic view of the world presented by these shows than to look at the visuals of the real world.
If you need an actual demographic, the literal projected audience the shows are made for is middle-class Japanese salarymen.

>moeshit
Certainly not you, /v/.
Akari~n!
>>139725862
Successful and hard working men with a healthy life and fulfilling jobs.
Men who wish to acquire more satisfaction that they can grasp, through escapism.
Because they have already discovered the beauties of this world.
Because they know that the greatest of wonders is having hope.

>moeshit

Matured patrician men.

>bottom looks like Pokemon
>top looks like STALKER set in Japan
Didnt know how much I wanted a bleak empty survival game/anime set in Asia

>Successful and hard working men with a healthy life and fulfilling jobs.
No such thing exists.
People
humans I'd guess
Depending on the kind of Slice of Life, anyone.
It can be comfy as hell and a real "feel good" type anime depending on the themes.
For instance, I never thought I'd like something like Usagi Drop, but it really was the ultimate feel good anime I couldn't help smiling most of the way through. That is to say, if you ignore the manga ending. Unless you're into that sort of thing
>tfw I've been asked twice if I liked anime after people have seen my kyouko phone wallpaper
One guy was an old, retired guy I play in a jazz band with. It was odd....
I'm kinda embarrassed to say I watch moeshit, but i love it so much

my dick
>>139726586
Wow that lighting makes a big difference
>>139725862
Me. It brings me a temporary simulation of happiness.
>>139735095
How can you tell it's not real happiness?
>>139735657
Because a part of me never lets me forget that this is not real, that the reason I enjoy this at all is because real life is so much less simple and bright, and that I will have to wake up from my dream eventually, and that the longer I dream, the harder it will hurt in the end.
But hey, in the mean time, fun things are fun.
Anyone? It doesn't require knowledge or to think about anything.
It's suppose to make you feel relaxed and happy that's why it's so great.
____________you
The manliest and most alpha of men. See, betacucks like manime because they're insecure and secretly fags. Alphas love moe and SoL because they are secure in their greatness and like cute girls.
>>139736494
And women hate moe because it puts them to shame. They are 3DPD after all.
You'll understand the appeal of "moeshit" once you have 600~700 shows under your belt. Meanwhile just enjoy your 'manime' like a good newfag

>not liking the differences between all of them like an actual patrician
pleb.
i bet you still have complexes that hinge upon the flawed assumption that different tastes are shit.
anyone who sees this world as bleak and dark. aka anyone.
>>139736682
having good taste doesn't mean liking everything. having good taste means being able to tell the difference between what's good and what's shit.
and yes, taste can be objectively shit.
>>139736619
moeshit will always be cancer
>>139736934
You are the cancer. But you'll stop watching anime within a year anyway and will leave this board.
>>139726273
So what do we watch after 47?
>>139737422
the warped remains of a life wasted watching drawings of underaged girls do cute and sexy things in moonspeak.
>>139737452
Sounds like a plan to me!
>>139726586
Honestly the top picture isn't that bad, hardly even worst example of crowded dystopian landmass Japan has to offer.
>>139725862
Depressed men.
>>139737618
Yeah I'd much rather like somewhere like that then out in the sticks (which I currently do)
>>139737618
The lighting is bad and it was taken in autumn or winter. Change these two things and it will look beautiful.
>>139737452
I don't wanna watch that.
>>139738138
The hearts of the denizens within such a city are truly dirty enough to cloud any beauty that may be found.
Through healing anime that depicts creatures of purity and beauty interacting the lowly /a/ poster is momentary elevated to a state of heavenly distraction.
Pain is reality.
Moe is heaven.
Which do you choose?
