I'm expecting one similar to Part 4 but sharper and more detailed. The current art style is good for the less muscly characters we get in 4 onwards, but the less detailed art would be a disservice for VA's art. Not that it's bad, but I think this style fits 4 very well but 5 less so.

They weren't necessarily bad, just a slog since it's the first part to have monthly chapters right from the start. The setup takes a while and by virtue of being a mystery story with a monthly release, that setup took a good fucking while. Back while those chapters were releasing it was a damn nightmare though.

I vaguely knew about it from Smash crossover stuff, told myself if I ever decided to watch anime I'd start with it (didn't know about manga at the time). I accidentally ended up watching the test dub for SDC ep 1 first since I had no idea where to find anything, then eventually found 2012 on CR, and starting reading the manga halfway through watching SDC.
It's still the only real anime/manga series I follow, though I've had Nichijou downloaded forever that I've been meaning to watch

Toonami's got a kind of restricted budget, and I can see Jojo being on the higher end as far as buying the rights to air it goes. Negotiations could take a while, and that's AFTER they get pestered enough by fans to consider it. Good news is though, last I heard Jojo was one of the top requested ones. Might be wrong about that though.
Also there's the fact that Viz just got the rights, so they might even redub everything that's already been dubbed, plus Parts 3 and 4 (eventually). So it might be for the better to wait until after that.

Originally I read all of them in black and white, but tried color then. After realizing what I've been missing on, I've started rereading all Jojo from the start in color. I can't imagine Gyro Zeppeli without the green lips or Johnny without the blue lips. The two complement each other perfectly.

After the switch to Ultra Jump, the art in SBR is so detailed that the coloured versions make it look far worse. They cover up the fine details that really define his style at that point. Not reading SVR in BW is a disservice to yourself honestly. If colouring amplifies the other parts, it tones down SBR. And Araki doesn't do the colouring, it's done by other people based on how he colours other artwork. Araki doesn't have time to colour shit when he's got a chapter a month to do.

Totally agree with the greatness of Death Note and FLCL dubs, in fact, FLCL dub was the first spanish dub I really liked. Also, I don't think they're going to translate every single english word into spanish, the dubs normally uses english words if the original japanese dub had also english words. TL;DR, Star Platinum is still going to be called Star Platinum and not "Estrella Plateada", because that would be awful.

It's sad to read that. I'm not into latin dubs because I'm from Spain, but something similar happened here, the dubs were more good long ago, during the golden age of anime dubbing. Yes, the translations were really bad sometimes, but the voices back had more... passion? I'm not sure how to describe it, but you can't longer feel the same with today's dubs.
