I think I kind of get what you're saying. For all its flaws as a game, yugioh makes for a much better card game cinematically. Too much of mtg is grinding out card advantage, top deck wars that last for turn after turn, and gradually reinforcing a winning position until you can actually finish the opponent off. Although it would be interesting to see an anime that goes the yugioh route and cuts starting life in half.
