it'll probably be a while until we get consistent releases. We have only 4/5 chapters to work with.
So, bets on how long until the next WN update? I'm guessing mid May.

What was the reason for the giant delay?
I thought I heard something about writer's block or working on another story.

There's a whole bunch of intertwined factors. First, the author presented ~1600 pages of material in the WN in about 9 months. Between that and the reeditted LNs and the manga, that a whole lot of Kumo to work on in such a short time. In the two months prior to the hiatus, her output considerably slowed. The point we are at now is the crux of most of the PoV character's arcs, so it wouldn't be prudent to go into that half heartedly.
She's also working on a story as a side called Escape Sheep Land, which is about half done (going by word count). If she starts Kumo right after finishing the other story, it'll be about mid May. If she starts writing later, she'll probably shoot her self in the foot, seeing as how the third volume of the LN most likely comes on in June.
