Well, then, let me waste my time trying to talk to you.
First, Anime is a completely stylized art form, so it relies heavily in deformations and symbols such as this face, that # that appears on angry characters and huge sweat drops. This stuff actually improves the medium, otherwise they wouldn't exist at all.
Also, it makes no sense to ask for a realistic artstyle when the actual scene would only get worse. These are used mostly for comedy and light-hearted scenes and, surprise surprise, they aren't supposed to be serious. Dropping them brings no benefit.
Second, you're trying really hard to bring a "muh old artstyle" discussion into this thread, and nobody likes that shit. It's been proved time and time again that these charts are based solely on cherry-picking examples, old high-budgets OVA against long-running low budget series, nobody takes them seriously anymore.
Most of these negative replies are because you're trying to bring an off-topic discussion to an otherwise pacific thread. If you really want to get proven wrong with better proofs, just make a new thread yourself.
