It felt like they moved events ahead too fast for their own good and then had more episodes than they knew what to do with
As stupid as it sounds to say this, KlK aged terribly. You can tell it was flavor of the month in the purest sort of way. The second it was over all forms of hype and interest completely died and the collective obsession with it vanished as though it never existed. All that was left was a series with a really strong start and a blatantly awful second half that clearly completely deviated from whatever they wanted to do at the beginning.

Imagine a roller coaster full of twists and turns and crazy loops, except every time you ride towards one one the kart turns abruptly down another route and you never get to see any of those fun parts. Then it stops again while going down the last hill before the final loop, a new part of the track is manifested out of thin air, and you ride down that in a straight line passing even more fun loops and spins you'll never ride down only for the kart to stop and force you to climb off it and down a ladder 50 feet in the air.
