Well yes, Zuranon does the SPiral of Death ritual in an inhabited city, summons undead which kill people and make even more undead, until there's enough undead to trigger the undead power-up pyramid.
Khazit basically shows the entire setup sequence; normally he would have made undead over years and years, but his plans were accelerated by Clem finding the Miko Princess' Crown AND Nfirea who could use it.
Khazit then turned him into a mindless undead summoning battery to spam thousands of zombies and skellies from E-Rantel. If the city's mithril or maybe orichalcum-ranked adventurers fought through the hordes, he would kill them with his two Skeletal Dragons.
He himself is tough enough to take a stab from Narb (she might have been missing on purpose) and a zapping from a lightning bolt.

I think people do know about the classes they take. It could be as simple as a guy calling himself a sword saint and learning from him, or in some cases they learn a class by instinct. In the former case they would know what class they were, in the latter they would just get their abilities.

VR is really the big thing here. I'm thinking that something which fanned Japan's creative spark like Yggdrasil would have spilled out to other areas; for instance, skin-makers would compete to make the most data-efficient yet effective creations, while others would try to make elaborate designs that could not exist in reality.
I imagine some small fraction of people would want to go on virtual ecotours, where someone went and recreated ecosystems like the Amazon, et al before they were levelled and used to build arcologies.

Prologue Part 1 shows how Tabula preferred, like the other 2 wise men, to be secretive about things and act in a way that 'sacrifices' others in order to protect his self-interest, in that he wanted to stay with Momonga and split off with their faction to another guild should Momonga not take up the guild leader position.
This is the similar to how Albedo tricks Ainz into creating the hit squad, only difference being that Tabula didn't act out of hatred and spite, but merely wanted to secure a safety net so to speak and was prepared to take losses.
Albedo went a lot farther due to her hatred over the Supreme Beings abandoning her, and her relationship to Ainz is different than Tabula's was to Momonga. Once you remove these variables from the equation you can see the resemblance.

Two, the ST belongs to humanity, are pro humanity, and understand that they don't know everything about what lies beyond the borders. They also know more about players than any other nation and possibly any other being other than maybe PDL, so they went with the long term plan of making a bunch of godkin babies while using subterfuge to turn the flow of the Empire and Kingdom in a direction where it would suit their needs later. Presumably, they wanted the Empire to conquer the Kingdom, then basically do a quick usurpation on the Empire after, basically limiting lives lost and the need to spread their forces thin just for unification.
Three, ST also was clearly stated as not wanting PDL or the demihumans to learn of the BS, because for all their strength they apparently don't have the means to defend every front, and the more they conquer and unite the bigger the territory they have to defend which is why they are thinking ahead and wanting to empower and produce more godkins first.
Four, Both PDL and ST know that in the future more players can pop in, just like the 8GK, so once again spreading yourselves thin and making yourself well known as the big bullseye is a rather stupid move.
Five, the Death Knight was only considered a national level threat because it could potentially keep spawning an endless wave of undead, it wasn't something that couldn't be defeated by itself, but the problem lied in it's momentum building prowess.

All I'm saying is until we see who Zuranon actually is, it's hard to assume his power level. Just because he might be really stronk doesn't mean he has the means, or even desires, to come out and romp all over everyone's backyard.
Like for all we know, Zuranon is a player like Amanomahitotsu. A level 100, but is not specced for direct combat, and without a guild base even let's say. What then? Would a guy who has no safety net like rezzing or NPCs or shelter possibly wanna risk shit? Why can't people be as paranoid as Ainz, especially if they were in a much more dangerous position?
Remember, most level 100 players never had a divine tier item. That's how grindy it was, just read the prologue it seemed like most of the guild members didn't even consider getting a divine tier item for themselves was possible.
That isn't to say Zuranon is a player. I'm just saying that even in the cases of a player, there might be circumstances where he wouldn't wanna fuck around, let alone someone say, Fluder, maybe KC tier, hell maybe even CD tier but lacks the shiny gear. Gear is important after all, since KC made a hypothesis that crazy Shalltear in a dress could be beaten (doing what she only showed of course, which is melee, mass hold, holy javelin) by CD simply due to gear. According to the WNfags, Zuranon himself turned into a lich through the ritual, but that doesn't mean he's guaranteed to be a mustache twirling villain. I won't speak for Clementine because she seemed kinda high the whole time we saw her, but Khajit was kinda slinking in a graveyard for years so isn't it understandable he's not too smart about it? initially it was proposed to create a guild with all 9 WCs but 3 of them rejected the idea (before the muspeilheim wc was turned into a raid boss).

So this confirms that World Disasters are not limited to 9 like the WC, and aren't a match in overall combat prowess to WC. That kind of puts the rivalry of Ulbert and Touch Me into perspective. Spike damage may be awesome, but it seems to pale to the overall powerhouse that is an attacker who can practically outperform a specialized tank.

In practice it is the same but if what I think is correct, basically you can have guys that -resistance and your 100% resistance is fucked. However, they cannot -resistance and make your immunity go away. Of course there is bypass immunity, and I think in certain games bypass allows you to ignore resistance as well. So basically spell immunity is kinda like a premium one or zero kinda deal, while resistance is a matter of percentages, and you can probably go above 100% to deal with people who reduce your resistances, and now I'm pretty sure this isn't D&D but certain games have it where if you go above 100% the attacks actually heal you, and that's where the resistance benefits over the raw spell immunity.
So at the most common practical level, yes it's the same. But once you get fancy, no it's not. All assuming whatever I said is true about Yggdrasil/NW of course, which it definitely doesn't have to be.

Not true, because as we already discussed, resistance isn't immunity. Immunity is just a trait, a 1 or 0 thing you get through passives, equipment or otherwise. There's no direct correlation from resistances to immunities.
For example, Ainz doesn't need a single piece of frost resistance equipment, and he's immune to it by virtue of being undead. He could be butt naked level 1 and still be immune to cold damage.

I mean here's the REAL fuckery if you want before the thread dies. Shalltear can take the silver coated weapons NO PROBLEM, yet feels the sting of the potion. That means that shitty minor healing potion does more positive energy damage than spilling liquid silver onto your sword and stabbing the vampire.
Or maybe it's kinda like The New Gate, where the minor healing potion was crafted by one of his guild mates, so while it's a minor healing potion, it was basically upgraded to hell and back.

Although there's no canon answer, any potion would hurt both Shalltear and Ainz since their purpose is to restore life (there was never a resistance regarding them mentioned) and the damage would depend on the potions grade. Ainz and Shalltear both have fire and holy weaknesses (because they're undead) so a spell of any tier would be capable of affecting them, but they can over come lower tier magic using equipment.

In all likelihood, the potions were made by his guild mates, thereby even with the cheapest materials it was still suitable for certain purposes.

In the case of the level 1 MM scroll yes, assuming the level 100 crafter didn't augment it with something to bypass that.
But it doesn't change the fact that it does more damage, so if you take that example, put it to a potion which doesn't apply to spells, voila. The enhancement could easily increase the 'grade' of the potion as well, I just didn't use it in an example.

It seems you can be specifically immune to spells, but not elemental damage (Houyi Bow did pure elemental damage, apparently).
However, discrete elemental resistances pick up the slack from there, so just because you can do X fire damage against a guy with immunity to fireball spells won't help if he has X+1 fire resistance, or fire immunity.
