Just got back from the Live Viewing in my city of Sydney.
Good news: Aqours didn't show up so no jihad required.
Bad news: No announcements were made on Day 2, it's at that point it hit me like a ton of bricks. It really is over.
While I can't imagine a better end for µ's other than performing at one of if the largest venue in Japan, the biggest disappointment has to be that the majority of µ's were young, fit and could have kept going for many more years.
The other disappointment is that they'll have to find another major event for Aqours and µ's to meet and hence finally lift the no Aqours-µ's interaction rule on twitter. It has been months now and it must be a pain for Anchan and King to not make a single tweet about µ's even on the day of the final live when µ's ends.

I've watched Love Live TV and movie and I haven't tried listening to any of the songs outside the series and movie, but from what I heard from those, the songs felt to samey.
iM@S, though, even if you listen only the songs from the show, has a more variative musical composition and arrangement which interests me more.
You get your typical idol songs, then songs like Hotel Moonside, Hanikami First Bite, Marchen Debut, Visionary, Nemurihime and others I might forgot.
The fact that most of the characters of Muse being miserably one-dimensional (compared to 765, at least) doesn't help.
But that's just my opinion.

Emitsun has a decent seiyuu career and will continue appearing in other anime and singing OP/EDs for other shows.
Mimorin gets a constant flow of seiyuu and singing roles so she will be ok.
Same thing for Jolno. Plus she has fripside.
Soramaru and Ucchi also have stable seiyuu careers to rely on after this.
Shikako has been recently landing more roles so I think she will be fine as a seiyuu.

Gotta say, it's gonna be tough for me to get over this.
I've been following this group for 5 out of their 6 years. It's like watching an underground band only you care about turn into world superstars. It's like finding yourself in a small dark room alone with a single penlight gradually filled with more and more people until they need bigger and bigger concert venues. And then one day when that group you followed stands before you in one of the largest venues ever, they make the decision to disband.
I suppose one bright spot is that now I am able to watch Aqours from the beginning.

I just felt that even though 765 idols are also one-dimensional, they did better with their story and dramas, rather than just going "You're fine the way you are" or "Don't worry, you have us" which I think is mostly the case with Love Live.
On iM@S, the arcs tend to focus more on Producer and the individual idol involved rather than shoving all nine idols while most of them are barely relevant after their respective drama arcs ended.

I'm going to add this for your interest.
The general rule is that concert outfits are less lewd than the 2d outfits. Compare the BokuraWa outfits in the First live to the anime BokuraWa outfits. Tonight (and I guess yesterday as well) Ucchi broke that rule by wearing a mid-riff baring Wao Wao/Sweet and sweet outfit.
Furthermore, they finally performed in the Mo gyutto maid outfits. The only difference was that it was made sparkly and could be ripped apart revealing a halloween pattern for Dancing Stars on Me. If you are wondering, no they did not perform in bikini for Natsuiro.
Nanjo didn't perform in the majority of songs which to me makes this concert less satisfying than the 1st Saitama. However I guess I'll have to get used to it should µ's remain active in the same way Im@s fans have gotten used to the fact the Original 765s will not always be assembled. She did show up for the most important songs like the start, Angelic Angel (where Eli is the center), with BiBis and BokuHikari. At other times, she would be pushed around with a trolley instead of dancing.
After µ's finished singing BokuHikari, the entire Dome sang it out loud again which opened the waterworks for our girls.

I would honestly put one episode and discard on the same level as producer meets one idol then discard. They have the same problem, character gets some development and then is never gone back to again or never developed further.
Now I don't hate Im@s P, I just don't care about him compare to say the main Idols. Possibly the only episodes with him in it that did not make me bored was the one where he started feeling left behind by Ritsuko's Ryuguu Komachi.
I like that, an episode where someone feels self-conscious because an employer is doing a job better than him. They really should have done more to show just what being a producer entails and what are the challenges, mental or task-wise.

They largely removed the Admiral from the KanColle anime and it still sold decently. Not to mention the game has not died in a year since it aired.
They also removed the raison d'etre of Girlfriend BETA. Since then the company has released a rhythm game for Kari showing that they are expanding to cash in on it's popularity.
Neither of them are dead and it appears as though they remain as popular as ever even though the self-insert was removed.

I still remember the first time I listened to one of their songs all the way back in 2011. it was largely by accident since it has been a track on a cd that came with a magazine. I thought it was pretty good especially the solo which sounded like it was sung by a 30 something (a bit old for a School Idol).
