Tsutomu Mizushima (Girls und Panzer, Shirobako, Prison School) is directing the series at anime studio diomedea (Kan Colle). Mari Okada (anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day, The Anthem of the Heart, Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans) is serving as series script supervisor, Naomi Ide (Kan Colle) is designing the characters, and Mizushima is personally directing the sound at Studio Mausu. Masaru Yokoyama (The Anthem of the Heart, Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans) is composing the music at Pony Canyon.
The website describes the story:
30 young men and women who came together on a shady bus tour. The tour's destination: an illusive, possibly nonexistent village called Nanakimura. In Nanakimura, one can lead a utopian existence, free of the world's obstacles … or so it was rumored, like an urban legend.
"In despair over the real world ... wanting to escape the tedious daily life … wanting to restart your life from scratch…"
The bus headed deep into the mountains, carrying 30 people each harboring their own expectations and wounds in their hearts…
And so, the place these 30 arrived at, was an uninhabited village with the lingering faint scents of life, even though it was falling apart.
What is the truth of Nanakimura facing the 30? You can't miss even one episode!

there too many people to kill, so having only one killer is pretty much impossible (at least one helper and one unrelated kill)

Its psychological thriller based on real events, about Japanese hippies establishing a commune int he mountains. They try to live without contacts to outside society, disappointed in it - but harshness of the live in abandoned mountain village makes people give up one after one and move out. The remainder are slowly become disappointed with the idea of their cult like establishment - we deal with Lost like flash backs of their lives before and why they came here.
The most hardcore in the end form a kind of "suicide pact" to remain here until the end, since unlike others they feel they dont have place to "return back". Those people discover the history of the village - that there before was a commune or japanese communists that were believing could build a perfect society outside of currupt japanese one.

小林(寛)監督が「アクションに偏らせたくない」と、キャラクターの関係性メインの話になりました。てらいもなく思春期に取り組んでいますが、『あの花』や『ここさけ』とは、また違った趣なんです。
久々に全話脚本にチャレンジしたので、ぜひ観ていただきたいです。
――『迷家-マヨイガ-』は、水島（努）監督と初めてタッグを組まれています。

ものすごく冒険した作品になっています。水島（努）監督の作品って、あまりにも情報量が多いので、「これってシナリオどうなってるのかな？」と、ずっと不思議でした。映像からシナリオが逆算できない。
仕事をごいっしょしてその謎が解けましたが、「シナリオ枚数100枚(200文字ペラ換算)」なんですね。普通、エンディングまで食う回でも75枚くらいですから、100枚ってありえないんです。
でも、水島監督はそれを自在に操って、最終的にご自身の色のフィルムにしてしまう。水島さんの手のひらで踊らされた感じです(笑)。

They lure the suicide pact kids into the village, and then, invisible at night niggers (invisible because they are black), kidnap and murder the kids one by one.
When the people after initial shock and thinking of mystic shit discover what really happens, they find out they cant connect to outside since Americans jammed the airwaves. Americans, realizing they are exposed - send Apache helicopters to burn down the village. However kids organized defences, and with self made bows take them down.
They finally get out from the village, escaping the tunnel and with happiness see the JSDF there, thinking they came to save them - just to get show and bodies bleached and disposed removing traces of the incident.

Its another anime, like Shirobako, about adult life and working.
The premise of show are group of edgy kids with different individual psychological issues that try to escape "normal" life by joining a cult and forming a commune in remote village.
However, life outside of society is not as easy as they believed - they have to find food, fix drainage and water, by themselves and without adult help clear places to live; all while still haunted by their own issues.
They experience fear, suffering, discomfort, hunger etc. - and only through cooperation together and overcoming their issues manage to get over it and realize they should have just better became the gears of society, learned trade, find a job, procreated and life raiju life without chuni bullshit.
