They censored the anime version, but in a strange way.
In the manga Revy killed all the civilian crew, in the anime Dutch stopped her.
But the next episode showed the very same ship emptied of all crew, floating in the ocean. This makes no sense unless the manga version of event was canon, and that the civilian crew did die, or the ship would have sailed back to port by then.
