It's been 15+ years since I last started watching Anime in any real sense (maybe watch one "mainstream" popular Anime every other year).

About CLAMP. Watch Angelic Layer at first and then Chobits. They are having the same universe and even though the content, main characters and genre are different, in Chobits you'll find out fates of some characters from AL.
Rayearth wasn't connected to this two or to any CLAMP universe I can think of.
Go with the most recent shows that are still discussed and hyped there like KonoSuba which has only 10 episodes and easy to marathon or Nozaki kun. Discussing stuff makes the ride more interesting and fun.
