2014 was a bit of a mess because they didn't know if they wanted to go classic "Godzilla is an unstoppable force of nature" theme with his like the original movie from 1956. Where its strengths are the fact that it focuses on the human cast and Godzilla himself is utterly terrifying.
Or the later Heisei Era Godzilla who was much more a hero character, and of course deserved top billing and top screentime in his own films.
Still, I liked pudgy bear Godzilla's look.
And I'll admit, his charging up his nuclear breath for the first time was pretty fuckin' good.

Well from what's been said, the Zilla prop is going to be a giant puppet from the shoulders up, a la Colossal Titan. No hint that there's man in suit. Of course there will probably be a foot prop or something, but barring a CG shot I'm not really sure we'll see his whole body at once in the film.
