anyone want to read more Spirit Circle?
Last thread is >>139308318. Info is there.
Some anons were upset about similar OPs with links and info, and I thought about taunting them about their endless 531-reply 10-image KyoAni/FOTM threads but then I thought, you know, I'd be angry too in their position, it's not like you CAN stop generals, but you want to try
and I wanted them to have a good taste in their mouth about Mizukami fans. And Mizukami would want us to make friends I guess? So even though these weren't generals I'm doing this thread quiet for those anons' sake.
These chapters were a nice wind-down after Lafalle. Although the two-month wait after the end of this chapter was awful.
>>139352159
Yes but it's over.
Maybe there will be an epilogue.
Just read through the entire thing. I like the shout-outs to other Mizukami works in the end.
Tonight's Part Six: Fuuko by the way, but it's mostly cute stuff in modern non-genderbent Japan. Which is cruelly snatched away at the end, but that's just so Mizukami can bring it back sweeter.
>last chapter had only one color page
>no full-color spread
Fucking hack magazineAlso Vann was sexy as shit when he was younger
>>139352347
I know. I was trying to time it to coincide with the end but we got it early for once. But we were having fun, so why stop there? We won't keep dumping after Friday.
>>139352347
I want an epilogue so bad. At least to finish up Fuuta's life.
>>139352547
Hammer got one. This one needs it more. Just to see baby east and rune.
Seems Flors wasn't a cuck in the end, Kertenos was too much of a bro to do that.
I wonder if Kouko sees angry warrior Koko when she does her reincarnations.
Imagine dragging her past lives around.
>>139353209
I love this page.

He's going to be working his ass off for Toudai. It'll be Kouko who fails.

No way he would blueball us like that. I wont except anything less than fucking the instant they meet.

Is he climbing that wall or just chilling behind it?
I just realized that Fuuta never ever got to be tall.
>>139353397
>fuuta
>fortuna level smarts
Fuuko sucks all the brains out of his rebirth cycle before Fuuta gets his turn, he's fucked eternally.
>>139353430
Knowing Kouko, she might just reject him then fuck him anyway.
I wonder if Mizukami pictures these scenes out in anime form in his head first. His panel flow could serve as storyboards as they are in some parts.
>>139353528
Chilling. Ghosts can fly.
Feels good being here when 2 anons did the translations live, I'll remember this series since my marathon was perfect, looked for the last chapter and it was 4 pages in. Text was translated a bit before as well, so less dread knowing how many pages were left.
Good feels and the tiredness for sleep helped not suffering from melancholy. The better the series the harder for me to deal with it.
>>139353636
>he's fucked eternally.
>>139353653
I don't envy you. I reread it every time a chapter was released until near the end of Lafalle, and a couple of times after. There are many things in life I regret less than spending that time in Spirit Circle.
>>139353735
>That last row
Is it just me or is that a hell of a nuke for this board?
>>139352339
It's like when you start reading a good manga and can't stop despite having other things to do.
>>139354003
Should be a 4chan banner if it isn't already.
>>139352943
Who did she save? I thought her only ties as Lapis was with Carol.
>>139354112
Is that Dance, or just some random spirit horse?
>>139354167
The non-living. In her timeline she stopped Lafalle.
>>139353889
>>139353849
What's with the fish? A galax sea of them?
>>139354252
Pretty sure those are souls, faffing about waiting for their reincarnation. As a motif it fits with the river analogy that Mizukami's previously used for reincarnation.
>>139354236
What? She didn't save shit.
>>139354227
We already had a Noi cameo.
>>139354335
When she experienced her incarnation as Lapis, she saved her tower but then something big and weird happened and she died. Alternate universes.
>>139353574
>that slav Umi
>>139354389
I uh.
What? Where was it implied?
>>139353789
It is tetsu? Why is fuuta so surprised?
>>139354389
Yeah no. Nothing like that was implied. It's referring to Carol and Sphinx Junior taking a trip downunda. Lapis had an inkling things were about to go down so she likely had a hand in sending them there.
>>139354497
Implied by Kouko remembering she saved them and Carol doing time travel experiments.
>>139354562
Was too.
>>139354622
>invent a time probe and send it to gather data
>it warps to an alternate universe timeline with genderbent reincarnations of your foster parents
>comes back with pictures
wat do?
>>139354656
Nuh uh. Kouko remembered the black hole bomb going off too so she couldn't have thought she saved them when she knows the tower went to smithereens. Therefore whoever she saved couldn't have been at the tower at the time and the only people we know to be away at the time was her daughter and her daughter's boyfriend.
>>139354589
>>139354696
Pouting fuuko is too cute
>>139354807
But Lafalle was the one who sent them away. Lapis didn't know anything was happening, she was shocked when he said he would deactivate the tower. And Kouko remembered something happening but had to ask Fuuta what it was.
>>139354450
That's a saucer
>>139354622
>>139354656
I think the black hole bimb twisted the dimensions and send robocat to another world of their genderbent selves, hence the fuji roof.
>>139354888
Cute little saucer
>>139354885
Hmm. But Fuuta(Lafalle) himself was confused when Kouko mentioned about the "fight" and "saving them"
>>139354952
Because in his universe she didn't.
>>139354885
Nope. Lafalle didn't even know they were going on the trip or that they were dating. Carol seems to be under the impression that Lapis doesn't know either though.
>>139354952
Which is why the other anon said the Lapis that Kouko saw saved them unlike Fuuta's Lapis
>>139355015
Why didn't they erase Fuuko's brand?
>>139355015
>getting flashy-thingied by an alien

>>139355185

>>139355228
Odds that Fuuta will end up a painter?
Or amangaka.
>>139355017
Lafalle's the one that makes sure they go to New Zealand >>139317495
>>139355234
I think it's the aliens stupidly ostentatious ship. They're not too well-informed about Earth history if they show up in 1700 and wait for Fortuna to walk by. I wonder why he wasn't curious about it.
>>139355295
You're onto something.
>>139355234
No. It's the giant crater in Fortuna time.
>>139355185
Nono is the best in every iteration, yet she keeps drawing the short end of the stick.
Why dies she suffer so?
>>139355331
The incarnation that Fortuna hijacks could have happened at any time. They probably didn't know exactly what time it would happen until that year.
I really wish there was an explanation for all the myriad weird shit Mizukami sprinkled into this series.
>>139355426
It's wrong to want to fuck your dad.
>>139355331
Well at any rate we know that whoever Lapis saved they weren't at the tower. It couldn't have been two split timelines because Kouko remembers the explosion and asks Fuuta about it.
>>139355185
So which one won da Fuuko bowl?
>>139355385
>>139355432
>crossdress fetishism already
These two are going to end up with a lot more fucking children than just Rune and East.
>>139355530
She doesn't remember what it was, or that it destroyed the tower.

Did she experience this timeline at the same time as Fuuta?
>>139355604
Flors just can't get away from that cat, can he?
>>139355689
We'd have to check her circle. I don't think we've done that yet. I'm pretty sure the Lost Age was "1."
>>139355665
>art club
Well, shit, I forgot about that.
Suddenly my joke here seems more plausible. >>139355295
>>139355228
So Fuuko died while sitting up in bed at the hospital then?
>>139353749
Good man, I can approve of this.
>>139355604
The hair doesn't really look like Kosuke's so probably Non.
And they get two daughters and one grandson?
>>139355882
There needs to be a Marie cameo in SY.
>>139355882
>magical marie
Isn't that the magical girl show from Samidare?
>>139356026

He remembered everything but the aliens, that's why he thought it was so boring. Might not have remembered the Fuji Roof either, Fuuko had trouble finding research funding, there might have been some alien magic keeping people from caring if they weren't Fuuko.
>>139356165
crazy bitch
This chapter was so good until the end.
That's all till Fortuna tomorrow. Hope we get someone in to thank us for not being cancer.
>>139356026
And Sanjin Sadou.
>>139356372
That won't happen since the complainers only opened the other thread because of the OP and they're all probably asleep now.
>>139356499
It's good to dream. Well, I believe I did the right thing in seeking to reduce discord.
>>139356372

>>139356372
You're a good man, anon. Dont wory too much about the complains, what matters is that the dump was great, as usual. Thank you.
>>139356372
Was a good thread, mate. Thanks.
>>139356721
What would make a bad dump? Posting the pages out of order? I didn't make a great dump, anons like you made the dump great.
>>139355958
So dolphins and whales are above humans, huh?
>>139355530
She remembers it was an explosion and that it killed her. That alone is more substantial evidence of a single shared timeline than a vague line about saving people pointing to split timelines.
>>139357237
So long and thanks for all the fish
>>139357438
Meant for >>139355604
It has been three years since I did not look forward to Spirit Circle every month.
>>139356208
>east
>daughter kouko
Holy shit i didn't catch that
>>139358333
They both found her in the snow but East was the one that took care of her. I was a little disappointed. She should have been his natural daughter, from Umi or someone like that.
>>139358486
>from Umi
Who?
>>139358333
Koko too mean to Fuuta.
I understand her past life's outrage but how much did she comprehend that he did all he did simply because he loved East and wanted to save him?
>>139358486
Also disappointed in the complete lack of impact Rei had after Vann died. She used to be a main character! She should at least have delivered another moral message, but she just jaws at Fortuna and dies, and doesn't show up again until she's a baby. She just disappeared. No explanation of why she didn't show up but Tetsu always did.
>>139358562
No, she understood that. What troubled her was how little everyone else's life was and the reason why East was important to Fortuna. Because they just happened to get close, everyone else could die and he wouldn't care at all. He lacks empathy; his reason for being attached to her, East, and Rune is too self-centered. He did care very deeply for them, though, that's the truth. He just wasn't a good person.
>>139358767
Yeah, I just didnt like how present koko was so into it and calling Fuuta, Fortuna. Felt bad for him because he loves her and confessed to her recently before.
>>139358948
That's Koko's flaw. She doesn't believe Fortuna is redeemable or had anything good in him so that she can focus entirely on her mission to stop him from creating another tragedy. I suppose it's ironic, then, since her killing Fuuta in one of Fortuna's future lives was probably what pushed him into trying to become a god to fix everything.
>>139358948
It's the irony of her trying to stop him from seeing his past lives too fast, then getting eaten by Koko, then him getting possessed after the one life she most wanted him to see. Just more crap piled on her.
When Rune and East are born as their children, what will their names be?
>>139359041
>trying to become a god to fix everything.
>implying the four elemental gods did not each eat a universe with two spirit circles
>>139359082
Someone said Azuma. Which is literally just East in moon.
What does Rune mean?
>>139359095
They may have actually become gods from all the karma they gained throughout all their reincarnations. They talked about getting quite a bit from resolving this story's incident, after all.
>>139359119
Should probably be water related.
>>139353209

Runes, glyphs, kanji. Also related to stones or rocks. Koko's daughter indeed.

>Senya is Fuuta's reincarnation
>Tsukiko is Nono's reincarnation
>Mudo is sharp eyes' reincarnation
D E E P E S T L O R E
>>139360805
I dont know.
>>139360809
Nah, they're just characters rolled by the respective gods. A single soul's reincarnation will look exactly like them.
If only they remember the past lives vividly. Then they sex would be crazy.
>>139360716
>Nothing, you're just bait for the hero. Besides you remind me of my sister
Wait, Mudo has a sister? have we ever seen her?I'm sure she looks just like Umi/Lihanerra
>>139360836
don't know what?
>>139360803
Rock god makes some good waifu. Think she made Shakugan too?
>>139360932
Their similarities can't be simple coincidence. Not with Mizukami.
>>139360931
Fortuna made rune
>>139360932
East seems to be sitting in air while she's sitting in rocks. What are the other two sitting in?This keeps getting deeper and deeper
>>139360932
Her hair looks exactly like water's though. Rock a fucking character design thief i guess..
>>139360987
East is sitting on fire, Rune on water, and Fuuta on air.
>>139360987
Rock Fire Water and Wind.
Fuuta = Wind's child
Rune = Water's child
Koko = Rock's child
East = Fire's child
>>139360809
Hang on. That shouldn't be. Going by what Wind said, Fuuta is Yazen in SY.
>>139361077
Ah, so that's what they meant by "mutant scholar demon priest". That could have meant Yazen, Senya's dad and Tigerbro.
Well, I was just shitposting, so no need to take it seriously. Mudo and Tsukiko do bear a strong resemblance to sharpeyes and Nono though.
>>139361060
But who isHeart's child?
>>139360803
>>139360932
That's supposed to be Koko/Stona/Roca aka rock.
Rune seems to be sitting in water, East in fire and Fuuta in wind.
>>139361077
There's going to likely be a secret final boss in Sengoku Youko (if there isn't already in the raws). I don't think Yazen was who they talked about because Senya never fought him.
>>139361133
>mutant scholar demon priest
That translation is wrong, should be crossbreeding scholar priest, so it's definitively Yazen.
>>139360882
I think she's only mentioned the once
Admittedly the show ain't over yet
Speaking of which I wonder if the dragon in that river in the present day is one of the ones from SY.
>>139361060
>East = Fire's child
Then who is Flambe?
>>139361060
What do you mean by child? Because Fuuta is definitely Wind.
>>139361181
But Jinka's the one who's most motivated to crossbreed. Aside from Shinsuke, but he's just a swordsman.
>>139361147
>secret final boss
Oh goddamnit fuck no, it's going to be that one ethereal fucks that couldn't give up now isn't it
Fucking Shinsuke helped Senya get over his guilt for murdering Tsukiko's dad, dudes in the village are treating Shakugan like she's Shinsuke's wife, Senya's already fighting Jinka to a draw and the original companions are about to call back Jinka by spirit-world shenanigans.
If fucking Mizukami pulls another cliffhanger in Sengoku I'll rage hard.
The best part of the manga for me was
>What do you think of my idea to not cure the disease!
Fortuna thinking he was so smart doing what he did was amazing, and so was Koko's reaction
>>139361230
All the characters are creations by the 4 gods, they're not actually them. That's why the gods keep referring to them as their children, not themselves.
>>139361133
Only Yazen fits what that line actually translates to and he is literally the man who made Senya into what he is.
>>139361147
Nope. No secret final boss.Just saving Jinka and tying up loose ends. The latter involves a final confrontation between best boys.
>>139361226
>dragon in that river in the present day
Pic related, from one of his oneshotsDEEPEST LORE
>>139361229
Dunno, but the back of Fire and East's hairstyles look similar, so they're likely the same soul.
>>139361285
I'm asking what you mean by CHILD. Do you mean they're not the same soul? Because Fuuta spoke the same lines at the end of their meeting, like he's done for all his other past lives' last words.
>>139361285
>Wind created Fortuna, Yazen, and Animus
Literally just kick him out of the D&D group already he's such a powercreeping faggot.
>>139361304
Mr Owl from that appeared to cameo a couple times in Sengoku Youko
Well, an owl that looked just like him, not sure if it's the same owl.
>>139361338
They're the point of origin of every single soul. So they're technically every single person's past life.

>>139361265
How's Mountain Goddess and Flower Goddess coming along?
And yeah like you said, the tribe of the void
>>139361405
Wait, are they the villagers in the village Shinsuke was stuck in?
Brb reading more important than sleep
>>139361363
>Nerdy Lich King who almost destroyed a universe to become a god
>Nerdy horndog who turned a bunch of priests into mutants so he could turn his waifu into a human like him
>Nerdy bookworm who wanted to know everything by smashing his way to the past
Why the hell would you want to kick out a guy who rolls these kinds of characters? He sounds like a blast to have in sessions.
>>139361406
>Mountain Goddess
>Flower Goddess
We get a glimpse of them in one chapter, but they've been functionally irrelevant since we started the fight with cloudman.
Also tribe of the void had some sort of peace talks with Senya andJinka's twin.Apparently they've been karmahacking so that their civilization gets nothing but good fortune, but they're going to get wrecked in the near future, so they need all the karma from Jinka or Senya or something like that. Two of the three back down and give up, but there's one fucker who's probably going to fuck shit up.If you can read chink they're scanlated up to the most recent chapters I think.
>>139361465
His character fucking tried to crawl outta the game onto the table. That's just occult shit.
>>139361483
Tama and Jinka still owe earthtits a soul, don't they?
>>139361483
Oh, and by wrecked I mean "asteroid racing towards your city and only your city with precision targeting systems. The only way you can avoid this is to incur shitloads of bad karma by burning down your city and GTFO"-tier destruction.
>>139361530
They should've gone to the Psycho Staff world for help instead of SY.
>>139361529
True, but Jinka's still in the spirit-calling process, they haven't woken him up yet last I recall. No reason for the banker to call in a debt until you get your money in.
>>139361561
He lost his power already.
>>139361596
He kept it until his next birthday so there's leeway they could've used but nooooo, gotta throw down with the crazy man-demons.
My favorite part of Sengoku Youko is when Shinsuke just decides to toggle noclip and fuck off to finish his training.
>>139361628
>tfw you accidentally forget to put away the pieces when you finish a game
sasuga god foursome.
>>139361465
>Lich King
What?
>>139361628
Think about it this way though, without their intervention Shinsuke would never develop his OP evil-curing spirit-calling, Shakugan would still be rock, and Senya will never get to know the joy of plowing Tsukiko.Although if Senya fucks up now or secret final boss intervenes he really will never know the joys of plowing Tsukiko
>>139361680
>plowing Tsukiko
That's a funny way of spelling "shoveling Yuki Onna"
>>139361644
>young non alcoholic shinsuke
This isn't the shinsuke I know and remember.
>>139361675
Spooky skeletons. He didn't put his soul in a jar or anything but he did have a skeleton army.

He's still got the messed up eyes
>>139361719
It's the best Shinsuke.
>>139361753
His eyebags aren't deep enough and he doesn't look like he's suffered his entire life yet.
>>139361777
>Yazen has shark teeth
>Like Fortuna...

Wind god so edgy I swear.
Will Tama get the Jinka?

They were not the eyes of a human being.

She's cute as heck;
>>139361777
Haha, i was so fucking hype when i read this page.
>>139361304
>>139361401
It's probably not Mudo because he's a black dragon and is drawn a little differently?
It's probably not the dragon god in Senya's dad because that one has a mustache.
But we don't know for sure unless Mizukami decides to throw us a bone later.
>>139361801
Might be he just likes drawing pointy teeth, like Crow knight, Senya's demons, Jinka, and various other monsters
>>139361831
>>139361777
Shinsuke and the Shogun are so cool because they're just humans.
>>139361873
I'm not sure I'd call someone who accidentally sliced time open one day "just human".
>>139361902
Flower loli a slut
>>139361873
Shinsuke is a real human bean, but the Shogun? Nor fucking way.
>>139361903
That's what makes them so great. Shogun sliced open time and Shinsuke created a way to converse with and purify the soul (which is fucking hugely important in Mizukami's canon now)
>>139361917
Well yeah she wanted his sword inside her and that's exactly what she got
>>139361917
>Shogun
>Shinsuke

Also chapter 95 raws are missing from what I can tell. What they seem to do is rip the raws straight from the Japanese site when the chapter is announced.

I'll have to disagree. In the very chapter posted here, Fuuta and Kouko were talking about what guman souls eventually become. Dolphins, whales... gods.
They're not the origin, but what they ultimately become. Remember, souls can interact with any time period. They included themselves in the events of this story probably to close a time loop in their souls' journey and possibly help along their souls' progress towards godhood.

>spoilerAH AMI, OR SOME SAY MAMI. DO YOU HEAR OUR PRAYERS?
But no, I don't think Mizukami will do idols. His genre is quite clearly fantasy, either urban or historical depending on the era. Idols don't fit well into it unless we're talking mahou shoujo, and both are rather saturated genres that don't really flow with his constant theme of 'karma'unless one of his characters goes full Homura.

So, Fortuna reincarnated into Fone, but will he lead the same life he did within the possibilities Fuuta lived out or, just like this time, he'll be living a different possibility because of the fact that he traveled to his "future" life as Fuuta, interfered, and ended up wiping out the bad karma between him and Koko?
>>139372633
He won't be trying to fuck Earth again. That's for sure. I'm still impressed that the gods of trillions of universes had a unique experience from Fortuna. Dude tried to become their peer.

Dude IS one of their peers.
>>139372887
He's one of their children.
>>139372994
>>139372887
Who even fucking knows. They make souls, and calls them children so that leads me to believe they're the past lives of everyone, especially since they don't seem particularly close. But then again Spascifica said this shit so maybe they are also the future lives of the 4 characters like
>4 characters become old souls
>then become literal gods
>and create the universe and all souls themselves (Fortuna created Rune, so the precedent is there)
What fucking egoists.
>>139372994
No, he is one of them. That's why Fuuta was saying the same thing Wind and the others were saying at the end of their discussion. He's repeated this multiple times.
Jinko and Yazen were mentioned to be their children. Either that means they're an incarnation, which they consider to be their "child", or they are souls with potential that they want to help rise up and have thus "adopted".
Remember, souls evolve. From rocks and plants, to animals, to people,to dolphins and whales, and then finally (?) to gods (though planet spirits might be below that?).
>>139373348
How could they create souls? All we know is that they got karma from resolving a heavy fate they all shared in one/several of their incarnations and that they "polish" the souls of others by reincarnating them over and over again (should sound familiar, as that's derived from a religious concept).
>>139373478
But why would it just be the four of them? Unless there's hundreds of gods offscreen. Also it'd be stupid if Fortuna got what he wanted in the end, and the gods don't seem like they've experienced those lives before, so I think they're the root of every soul in existence, EVERYONE'S past life.
>>139373580
Read the manga. Besides, they call them their children.
>>139373640
Well, read the discussion. Earth (and perhaps Wind) called the others over to participate in this gamble. Just because they're the only four we see, that doesn't mean they're all that there is. It just means they were the only ones participating for this.
>Also it'd be stupid if Fortuna got what he wanted in the end
Well. It was apparently "too soon" for him to wield the power of a spirit circle (or perhaps what the spirit circle would lead him to). And besides, Fortuna's soul was also refined through his multiple reincarnations. He's Fortuna, but he's also Fuuta. Fortuna isn't the end of his entire character.
>and the gods don't seem like they've experienced those lives before
Possibilities. Don't think too hard about linearity. And remember that they forgot everything.
>>139373716
No, he didn't make a new soul, anon. He gathered the ambient spirits of nature and combined them with a ghost of a human. Flambe did the same, minus the human spirit part, and invented the method to create spirit beasts.
That's different from creating souls from scratch. As we know it, they simply exit and re-enter the heavenly river's plane (our universe), creating new energy (I believe that's it?).
I think spirit circle is superedgelord.
>>139373942
>Possibilities. Don't think too hard about linearity. And remember that they forgot everything.
>>139373640
Oh, when I said this, I was thinking of this
>>139372633
As Fortuna changed the possibility of his future life (originally, Fuuta would die and have his soul's reincarnation cycle cut off) by invading Fuuta's body and causing the ruckus at the end, as well as the fact that the lives of Lafalle and Lapis that Fuuta and Kouko experienced were slightly altered in the end (Lafalle succeeded in Fuuta's dream, Lapis stopped him in Kouko's), it's possible that their god selves changed their past lives/origins for whatever reason (Fuuta's past life as Fortuna is definitely changed when Fortuna looked into his future lives and decided to change his destiny). It may be that all the different directions their souls go toward (the Lafalle who succeeded and the Lafalle who failed in their plan to shut off the Dreaming Tower) culminate in their existence as gods in the end and trying to create a better resolution in one of the past probabilities of their lives benefits them somehow (more karma?).
Anyway, I'm just theorizing at this point, but I hope I was clear.
>>139373942
>That's different from creating souls from scratch.
Well he's not god yet.
I think it's weird if Fortuna got everything he wanted. It makes more sense to me thematically that the 4 main characters are simply souls (or even avatars) that come from the 4 main god souls. Since there's a lot of divine fuckery anyways.
>And remember that they forgot everything.
I doubt they forgot when Fortuna was able to access a fuckton of his other lives with the spirit circle alone, and as a mortal.
>>139374282
>Lapis stopped him in Kouko's
I swear to god...if one more person thinks Lapis was right when fucking gods sent Spascifica to tell them to blow up the tower...
>>139374596
Fortuna said it made no difference, and he was right about everything else, wasn't he?
>>139374372
>It makes more sense to me thematically
How does that relate to the story thematically?
Take the "planet buster psychic" from Biscuit Hammer who reincarnated into the Swordfish Knight. Completely different people? Sure, yeah, but they're the same soul on a journey to refine themselves. From a destructive sociopath, he turned into a beloved paternal figure for the people he took under his wing.
Same with Fortuna. Fortuna went through a number of incarnations, but even in his first reincarnation after his life as Fortuna he already to understand what it feels like to have someone else (another person) take away someone precious from him. His soul proceeded to learn the other lessons here
>>139364449
And you can't say he wasn't a good person in most of his future reincarnations.
You're too stuck on thinking it's bad for Fortuna to "get what he wants" in the end. Of course it stimulated his intellectual curiosity to attempt it, but that wasn't what he wanted. What he really wanted was to be with his "family" again. And he wanted it to be him, and not any of his other incarnations, to be with them. He wanted to be the one to make up for his own mistakes. His desire to become a god wasn't personal ambition, but partly intellectual curiosity and mostly a desire to "correct" his life with Koko, East, and Rune.
>I doubt they forgot when Fortuna was able to access a fuckton of his other lives with the spirit circle alone, and as a mortal.
Well, see the end part of my post here
>>139374282
Just some theory crafting there, but does it sound reasonable to you?
>>139374596
Huh? Why did you bring this up to me?
>>139374694
But Fortuna wasn't ready to be god. He was built on sophistry and immoral logic. Spacifica is an agent of divine intervention, meaning that some pretty important people thought he was wrong.
>>139374694
>Fortuna said it made no difference
That's what he thinks. But it does make a difference, you know. If it went on forever, the people of the Earth basically put a stop to the reincarnation cycle of all the non-living housed in the towers, just like what Kouko attempted to do to Fuuta with her spirit circle.
Practically speaking, it wouldn't have made a difference to the people who are alive, sure. But it's a world of difference to the souls stuck in the towers as their souls journies could have stopped there eternally.
>>139374768
>Take the "planet buster psychic" from Biscuit Hammer who reincarnated into the Swordfish Knight. Completely different people? Sure, yeah, but they're the same soul on a journey to refine themselves. From a destructive sociopath, he turned into a beloved paternal figure for the people he took under his wing.
But it's like if Animus was "polished" via reincarnation and now his job is destroying Earth and he's a good guy somehow. It doesn't sit right with me as a reader that Fortuna's ego is a direct and singular link to gods. Since becoming god was depicted as evil throughout.
>>139374827
>>139374847

All this time, I'm talking about souls as in energy. The part you quoted differentiated human souls from the souls of ghosts, plants and minerals by calling the latter spirits. To be called a soul is to be on a higher level of consciousness.
This entire time, I was arguing against the idea that the gods were spontaneously creating new energy themselves instead of allowing it to be done through the natural cycle of souls reincarnating.
What are you talking about?
Cant wait for the epilogue
>>139376371
>>139376471
What? Tsukiko has to win
>>139378081
That Fortuna's own energy is so immense he can create completely new consciousness from within himself. Which is precedent for those 4 gods to be the progenitors of souls themselves.
Rune was Fortuna's "child" and those gods are calling Animus and Senya and Yazen and Fortuna their "children" too.
>>139378187
Why?
>>139378369
>
That Fortuna's own energy is so immense he can create completely new consciousness from within himself.
Why do you think that? Why does his energy to be immense? He simply needed to know how to manipulate the spirit matter. Flambe could do the same, he only stopped short of incorporating human spirits into the formula.
>Rune was Fortuna's "child" and those gods are calling Animus and Senya and Yazen and Fortuna their "children" too.
That does not mean this
>>139373348
>They make souls, and calls them children so that leads me to believe they're the past lives of everyone
is true. It doesn't lead into that idea at all.
Again, I was arguing against the idea that they could spontaneously create new energy to make up souls, not that they couldn't create new beings like Rune (except as complete souls rather than pseudo-souls).
>>139378187
She already won the Mudo.
>>139378515
Because snow woman a shit.
And Tsukiko and Senya have been, not OTP, but close to it. Shinsuke has the OTP.
>>139376812
>Fairy Eyes are hugely significant in the Mizukami canon
>All 4 Gods have their eyes CLOSED SHUT the entire time
Sasuga.
>>139378563
I don't see why you think that the idea that 4 seemingly omnipotent beings who change the fates of trillions of universes, and have birthed several of Mizukami's characters, are the source of souls (especially that their table is symbolic of the Tree of Life) is such a stretch.
>>139377182
Vann good boy did nuthin wrong.Do you think Mizukami's quality declined recently (even in SY the Tiger/Dragon fight seemed real rough)?
>>139376371
I think Sengoko Youko was the only Mizukami manga where I was legitimately annoyed when Shinsuke wasn't on screen. Why is he so fucking cool?
>So fly even a goddess wants his dick
>Literally talks demons into submission
>Tama tells him they need Senya to save Shakugan but Shinsuke taught him how to do it
>Will inevitably be the character to pull Jinka out of his evil
How can one man be so based?
>>139379084
Yeah, I'm not annoyed at Shinsuke being offscreen in SC and BH either.
>>139378932
He had a kid I guess.
>>139379084
Tama is fucking awful and doesn't deserve him as a friend too.
>>139379364
We already knew that, though; Shinsuke was always the glue of the group - even Tama mentions it when she's thinking back afterShakugan dies. When Shinsuke gets super serious, there's nothing really for anyone to say or do about it. He's the most protagonist character in all of Sengoku.
>>139379530
I hope he becomes an inhuman monster like the shogun
>>139380571
>Shinsuke is the White God Child all along
I would cum myself.
>>139380571
He already is. Don't you see how every demon defers to him? There's a reason that Senya stopped being called "King" by his demons - because Shinsuke is the Demon King. He understands them on a deeper level then Jinka does, then Tama does, then Senya does. He's fucking incredible.
All the demons in his village adore him - Tama freaks out when he starts chatting so casually with Hanatora, only to realize that they're A+ buddies and it doesn't matter at all.
>>139380571
Shogun is the most human character in the story.
>>139380719
My cock he is.
>>139380928
Shogun is what a human should be. Everyone else is just lazy.
>>139380678
Mountain god missed out on best soul because it wasn't ripe. Fucking hack.
>>139381029
Yes, that is what we ought to shoot for as humans.
>>139361743
>You turn into a rock
>Next thing you know your husbando is an oji-san with an apparent lolita complex
>hfw
Poor Shaku
>>139375869
Looks a lot like Nau, ~nau.
>>139381871
Well yes, all his characters look pretty much the same. Great artist mizukami is not.
>>139382069
>mizukami isn't a great artist
I'm having trouble here.
I understand what those words mean individually, but in that order they don't make any sense.
>>139382189
It means the 3 other manga anon reads are Vagabond, Vinland Saga, and Berserk.
>>139382189
His logic is flawed. Mizukami's characters do look pretty much the same, in the same way Arakawa's do, but you can instantly tell them apart, the same way you can Arakawa's characters. And he uses simple approaches to make powerful scenes.
Can anyone post a short version from all these hypothesis?
I was lost after reaching the DnD thingy.
>>139383599
Tl:dr
>4 gods intervene on characters from Mizukami's manga to gain karma points.
>"Polish" bad souls into good souls by making them reincarnate into specific circumstances
>Manage trillions of universes
>May or may not have created 1 or more souls
>Are likely a past/future life of Rune, East, Fuuta and Koko. Or both. Because nonlinear time.
>Fortuna tried to manifest himself onto their DnD table
>They needed to stop him
>They sent the aliens to Fuuko
>They put the Fuji roof so Fuuko would find the aliens
>They sent Spacifica to do a bunch of stuff like tell Laffalle to destroy the towers
>The Wind god is the future/past life or progenitor of Fuuta
>The Wind god is the progenitor/creator of Animus (Antagonist/Biscuit Hammer) and Yazen (Antagonist/Sengoku Youko pt 1)
>The Fire god (East) is the progenitor/creator of Senya (Protagonist/Sengoku Youko pt 2)
>At the end of the manga Fortuna's life comes to an end and the circle begins once again with Fone. Only logical because Fone was the second life and Fortuna was the first.
>>139384158
Basically the gods are karma farming redditors.
>>139384200
Please refrain from saying such disgusting things.
>>139384158
Crack theories
>4 Gods are actually called Fairies
>Their eyes are shut because they provide the Fairy eyes to throughout Mizukami's canon
>As a way to observe and intervene with Fate
>Somehow related to the Tribe of the Void
>Nau is related to the the dog thing sitting on Wind's lap
>>139384200
Water farms exp and is a leveling whore.
Wind is a fucking chuuni and always derails the campaign with larger than life characters.
Fire actually plays the campaign like he's supposed to.
Rock is DM.
>>139384158
>Are likely a past/future life of Rune, East, Fuuta and Koko
I think people are a bit too hung up on this.
At this point there's basically zero evidence for it.
SY is like the only story with humans and demons that doesnt shit on humans.
>>139385418
>4 main characters
>4 gods
>gods and main characters have extremely similar hair
>Most of Koko's lives have been named after rocks
>The one that looks like Koko is sitting on Rocks
Yeah, zero evidence.
>>139385462
>Implying they don't deserve it.
>>139385625
> 4 main characters and 4 gods
Rune and East were barely of any importance. Fuuta's friends played a larger role and reincarnated more.
>gods and main characters have extremely similar hair
This is the strongest point, which is flimsy at best.
>Names & elements
Which doesn't entirely fit.
Look, all I'm saying is that we actually know jack shit. They might just be the main characters patrons or something. They apparently also have connections to to characters from BH and SY where the similarity is far less pronounced.
It's a good theory for now. I'm just pointing out, that right now we don't really have a lot to go with.
>>139386034
You said there was zero evidence. But it's clear that Rune and East are the 3rd and 4th most important characters respectively, since they're the only others involved in the actual plot.
There IS zero evidence.
As of now the only thing we have to go on is some vague dialogue general and a few points of similarity.
It's still just a theory.
>>139386388
The same points of similarity that tied Fuuta to all of his past lives. He's even continuing the dialogue when he wakes up. Hair is important in Spirit Circle. Hair is more important than paternity, even ethnicity; your soul will determine your hair.
>>139386388
By your definition of zero, there's zero evidence Kouko had feelings for Fuuta.
>>139386617
What ifyour soul actually is your hair, your body is just an empty husk of meat that your hair uses for transportation?
>>139387099
We need to get sillier.
>>139386617
What if the DnD table was just an elaborate dream?
Maybe Fuuta was just rationalizing why this all happened in his sleep.
>>139387009
There's a difference between if something is certain or just probable.
>>139387595
That'd be very unnecessarily misleading to the reader.
>>139387595
And there's difference between "zero" and "some"
>>139386617
And again, they might be their patron gods or something.
There's probably a connection between them, but what exactly their relation is, is anyone's guess.
So i just finished marathoning Sengoku Youko in one day. All i can say is wow. It's incredible.
Part 2 was better than 1.
All the characters in part 2 are charming and simply amazing. I've found myself really invested in them.
>>139387685
This is turning into a silly point of semantics.
The only point I was trying to make was that we don't actually know anything yet. There can be all kinds of reasons for the similarities at this point.
>>139387734
>Part 2 was better than 1
Part 1 had better Shinsuke moments, it's brought down by Jinka and Tama being the edgiest pieces of literal shit in the goddamn universe who are undeserving to have him as a friend.
>>139388097
I wish he hadn't given up on being an amazing swordsman.
>>139388097
>Jinka and Tama being the edgiest pieces of literal shit
Let's be fair here, Shinsuke was pretty edgy in part 1 too.
>>139388306
He had a reason though. Jinka had the mind of a chuuni "I h8 humans I wann be a demon! Tama lemme suck your cock" jfc just shut UP.
>>139388265
>Shinsuke created a soul without being all sacrilegious and amoral like Fortuna was
Kek
>>139388097
The like the gentle Shinsuke of part 2 better and if i had to choose a part i would pick 2. It's filled with incredible, unique and interesting characters.
I honestly cant express how amazing i find it to be.
How the hell does Mizukami do it?
>>139389039
I like alcoholic Shinsuke better, but you gotta admit he gets less/less intense scenes in pt 2.
>>139389039
Actual spirituality.
>>139388265
The top panel looks a lot like it's a panel from Drifters.
>>139389463
Toyo is like 100x stupider than Shinsuke, which is fucking saying something.
>>139352159
>Chapter 45 [END]
>they don't even fuck
>>139389821
It took them 8 reincarnations to fucking hold hands.
>>139385462
Monster town too.
>>139389363
Yes he does, i kinda got sad he didnt journey with Senya and Tsukiko and got stuck in the village or how he didnt do enough in the shogunate arc but i prefer his calm and teacher figure version.
>>139389821
Is there even any fanart/doujin of them fucking?
>>139390166
I found mizukami's porn so he probably has a whole folder of it. Laffale Lapis cold fish fucking too I'd imagine.
>>139390204
oh god where?
>>139388097
>part 1 Tama
>edgy
