I'm the anon that volunteered to upload all 34 volumes of Osomatsu-kun back in February. I'm thinking about uploading a volume each day starting April 21st leading up to the matsus' birthday on May 24th. At least /a/nons can look forward to something else in these threads in the meantime.

Too much fujoshi pandering, overuse of forced catchphrases (For example, Chibita pretty much never said that "idjit" stuff originally, but it was pretty much every other line he said in this anime) and nicknames (Wow, you said "Totty" instead of "Todomatsu". Real funny.).
Even in the cases where catchphrases and nicknames were justified, they were instantly overused far too much (See "Fappymatsu". Great in the scene where it was introduced, but instantly run into the ground). It says something that they managed to make Sheeh feel more tired than in the series where Iyami was the main character. Also, the series relied way too much on constantly spouting words like "virgin/NEET/phimosis" as if they were the key to comedy.
Totoko was hit particularly hard by this crap, as she was turned into a terrible caricature of 3DPD half of the time, and stuffed into a random gimmick fish suit the rest of the time so the fujoshis wouldn't feel threatened by her beauty.
Also, the opening songs were shit. Osomatsu has nothing to do with generic J-pop singers squealing "nyaa" and "wooow" every other second.

I do agree with quite a few of your complaints. The side characters got shafted almost completely but unfortunately that was always going to be the case with the new emphasis on the Matsus. You mention Chibita spouting the 'idjit' stuff but fail to mention Dayon essentially saying nothing but his own name and Dekapan also only only saying 'hoe' despite both of them talking normally in the original series. I don't think they knew what to do with Totoko throughout the first cour either (which I presume is what you at least finished) but saying that fujoshi 'wouldn't feel threatened by her beauty' is a massive stretch. After her two bad idol skits are used up she became a much, much better and highly entertaining character even if the caricature stuff still persisted. It's unfortunate what happened to Iyami but once again, I don't think the staff knew what to do with him. He was great in a later racing episode. All of the characters were, in fact.
Don't know what you expected for the OPs, idolshit themes are a dime a dozen nowadays. The first OP was pretty cool though; I liked its 60's guitar riff and the lyrics were fantastic.

What? The art style is adorable, the character designs are friendly and the environment looks like bright crayons and paper cutouts. I wish more shows would take a chance and went for something this different.
Women don't always want hot, perfect, or 'damaged' men, women want well written characters even if those characters are total scumbags. Having someone be so godawful and a loser in fiction can be very endearing depending on what the viewer enjoys, whether they're cheering for him or wanting to fix him or wanting him to suffer for being such a moron. Their character designs are so non-threatening that the focus is entirely on the writing and interactions, which is also a good place for fans to build off of for fanworks. That's why Osomatsu spread so well, it's something that fujos want but haven't really been given much before.

Well the show is ending again, the next season it gets will probably be the last so Sunrise were probably conscious of that. It does suck that they skipped over so much though, especially considering everyone came for the comedy first and foremost.
