Giving girls things like tv shows is a lousy gift. They either would use it without you or would feel forced to share it, there's no good ending. The best gifts are always things that seem cool or useful but you wouldn't spend money on them, accesories for their hobbies or items that reflect a specific trait that you want to highlight are usually good choices. And doing something is always better rewarded in the moment while objects have more of a long term effect, it depends how you want to be present in her memory.
