The entirety of MD Geist is pretty bad, animation-wise. The Director's Cut fixed most of it, but apparently even the staff fucking hated working on the series. The original episodes had a shitload of inconsistencies and glaring animation errors. Sometimes Geist just fucking floated. I remember one guy in the second OVA floated for a good 10 seconds before hitting the ground after being killed.
