I had a dream that Ukitake met a little palace girl/bride of Yhwach, and went to play with her again in Yhwach's palace. Rukia followed her as the VC despite voicing concerns about infiltrating the HQ of the enemy. At one point she rode on his shoulders.
They got to the very center of the enemy HQ before being found out. Ukitake stayed behind and Rukia escaped.

The spoon is representing either a halo going with his praying mantis theme or a full moon going with the moon and buddhist theme of Nnoitra. But it still looks silly. Kubo does that sometimes, choosing a silly design for the sake of symbolism. Shuutara is similiar to Nnoitra. Both have several extra arms and a moon over their head and both are based on buddhist figures/deities.
