And don't just read it, actually pay attention to dialog and hints/details because there's a lot of foreshadowing and stuff (it becomes even more apparent as the series goes on).
Although it may seem like a generic shounen on the surface, it will quickly confuse and leave you in the dust if you take the series for a joke.
