Am I the only one who enjoyed this series a lot? The plot wasn't anything to write home about, characters didn't have much depth, and the action was lacking here and there, but I still enjoyed the ride from start to finish. Then again, I'm quite a sucker for mecha musume and tacky but cool resolutions as a result of grand-scale battles. Also, the formal festival continuing on its final day that likewise served to celebrate victory and to hear Queen Lisha's moving speech that kindle hope to a bright future for a New Kingdom was a nice, good-feel touch.
