I kind of enjoyed the fact that despite being a magical girl anime, there were no magical girl activities to be performed other than screwing around making water levitate in the bathroom for no reason and being embarrassed about Mahou Shoujo mizugis.
Having a Mahou Shoujo series where the enemies have long ago been all defeated and there's no one to forcibly befriend or whatever is sort of a clever excuse to do a cute SoL with bonus undercover lewdness added from costumes and transformation sequences. Plus you get a mascot to bully. It's a perfect example of genius lolicon thinking at work.
