You should have been here 2013-14 when Turnip Farmers were pumping out loads of chapters, that's when we had constant threads.
It's fine as it is now, I'd rather have the occasional comfy thread than degenerate into some complete cancer general in the vein of One Piece or Tokyo Ghoul.
