Again, it's one of the msot poopular manga currently, and that's why they have a LA movie and season 2, despite bad bluray sales. It's completely possible Terra Formars Revenge can boost overall sales.

It's really been one year, but not too much has happened that we know about. All we know is Akari and Michelle are in love and the rest of the survivors seemed to have joined the group fighting against roaches. All we've seen so far is Kanako, Keiji, and Akari. No word on Chinese Squad, either.

Yeah, just not in the west/English speaking countries. However, that's the main factor if anything will get licensed. Popularity in other countries other than for the most part Japan doesn't really matter. But, we'll have to wait until the anime gets sold in America and see how that fares.
Anyhow, we'll have to wait and see where the plot goes from now on. I wonder where it'll go.
