Dropped it after the feminist bullshit on the first episode. Pure shit.

I dropped it because it was heavy-handed as fuck. If your first episode has shit writing, the rest probably will too.

The OAV was great. The TV series was kinda OK, not as good. They expand the world, but the problem is that they barely flesh it out.
>>
Was great up until the last episode. They literally did nothing or explained anything. What was the point of that whole overarcing plot with the higher ups if it didn't lead to anything?

Needs a season 2 desu
>>
Wasted potential. I was hoping for more word-building and that we would get to spend more time with the recurring character. >>139150380 for example deserved more screen time.

It was still alright for most part.
>>
Should've just been people gaming their way into heaven or hell.

Each episode should've just been another forced gaming duo as we were taken into their lives.

Everything about Quindecim was boring as shit. I don't give a FUCK about the arbiters and their background and all that shit, just give me more short stories about killed people, and let the audience decide for the next week if those players deserved their fate.

It was such a simple premise and they still flubbed it up.

Hoping we do get an S2 where it is just games.

Greatest love story ever told and I was worried she'd be annoying, Kurokami and the neet deserve the void.

5/10

Good opening tho

The TV show took away some of the mystery the OVA had.
With the OVA alone as basis, it was still kind of debatable which door is 'better.' Like, is reincarnation a good thing, or would you rather have Nirvana? It seemed much more ambiguous and interesting.
But then in the TV show, the 'bad' door was literally a void people got tossed into, an eternal nightmare, and that kind of settled the question.

>What was the point of that whole overarcing plot with the higher ups if it didn't lead to anything?
This, too. This, and the side characters, were never really used.
>>
>>139150778
The entire point was that things can change, and that they already started to.

I think that entire plot is to relax viewers who didn't agree with the judgments. If you hint that characters think the system is broken and are doing something, then the judgments won't sound as preachy or wrong-but-ignored.

Reminder that Ginty hates fun.
>>
>>139149294
I watched it FOR the individual stories and with that mindset it was absolutly amazing.

But I understand that people who waited for a more overarching story and world building were probably pretty disappointed

Well the thing is that they probably had a grander plot in my mind but considering it bombed, well, yeah.
>>
>>139151393,
>But then in the TV show, the 'bad' door was literally a void people got tossed into, an eternal nightmare, and that kind of settled the question.
Holy shit you're stupid. They explicitly state that it isn't "an eternal nightmare," it's nonexistence. You go through the "bad" door and you actually die, you go through the "good" door and you're back on earth.
>>
>>139154180
Did you even watch the show?
>>
>>139149294
It's good and worth watching in my opinion
>>
>>139149294
It was mildly interesting, but I got more entertainment out of stirring the pot in the threads on /a/ than watching the show.
>>
God-tier opening.

How do you guys feel about reincarnation or eternity in darkness?

To the void with you.
>>
>>139155173
Reincarnation means I forget everything and live again probably as some worthless scum.
Eternity in darkness means I live forever. I'd obtain enlightenment.
>>
>>139155245
Is this world okay with people lying about everything? There's not one person in the world is completely honest. Everyone lies about something whether it be on job applications, a secret, or even who stole the last cookie in the jar. It feels like it should be wrong that people lie to each other, but it promotes good in a way too. Therefore, lying isn't all that bad and is actually a rather good thing. Just how far can lying go before it's a bad thing though? Isn't the concept of lying supposed to be bad in first place? If it wasn't, then is it neither good nor bad?
