Pacing is shit, animation and drawing is shit due to low budget, Vegeta character regressed, constant fucking of lore (ssj aura PROTECTS you to some degree from harm, i.e. Goku stoping Trunks sword with fucking fingers but Frost pinches him with fucking needle), out of ass ideas for defeating most overpowered character (poison needle, lasers, heat, gummy bear). Bad character designs (that purple ''assassin'' is basically copy-paste design of one of DB games player character, pre-customized, Xenoverse I think, and don't forget titty-Monaka), silly plot (Freezer owning Cell, Buu, and fucking Goku in his SSJG because he trained for 4 MONTHS or so). And that's just to name a few.
This series should have never happened, Toriyama should have let it rest after GT, which gathered a lot of mixed reviews, but fuck me over, GT got nothing on this clusterfuck that is SUPER.

They hired a new series director, have been using up to three animation supervisors per episode. Toei are not lacking in budget whatsoever. They're spending the money.
This series lacks time and talent. The lack of talent is due to two things:
1. Toei's best staff are busy with other projects like One Piece Film Gold.
2. Super has a reputation in the industry now, and many staff don't want to touch it.
Blaming budget is not accurate.

Because Super was rushed into production following the success of Resurrection F.
Kai was ending and they needed a show to fill the slot. Rather than let the hype die, they rode that wave right through to its debut.
Did you not notice that they had nothing to show until one week before the show aired? All their promo up until that first trailer was a single shot from the opening. That show was shown raw, it was shown on screens in offices. They reused it over and over. They had nothing.
They threw what staff they could at it and by episode 5 it crumbled. Poor Ken Otsuka said on Twitter that that episode was due to an "animation collapse". They had no time.
When they realised the show wasn't going to improve, they took a giant shit on the Resurrection F arc and began working on those early episodes of the Champa arc.
Now we're into the tournament and they're just playing everything safe. They do their best to keep things on-model while barely moving the characters on screen. Speed lines and digital trickery.
The most we can hope for is a great episode by Naoki Tate in a few weeks or for a good freelancer to come in like Iseki did in episode 16.

All the z fags are butthurt because the dub turned z into something it wasn't. Dragon ball has always been a light hearted fun adventure. Z was that with power levels as well. It got a wee bit dark, but the change to the music and script definitely changed the tone with the dub. Super is literally going back to its roots in silly fun. GT's is more consistent and on-model, but it too has problems with that. Most infamously there's Uchiyama's blobby, ugly bullshit that seems to have somehow gotten worse from his Z material.
Super's biggest problem is the inconsistent quality of the animation due to the horridly rushed schedule, like >>139145979 mentions. You get times like the dinosaur fight in episode 2, the latter half of Beerus vs. Goku, and most recently Jaco vs. Frog, that look better than some of the Z movies. And then you get shit like episode 5, or the god-awful parts of Frieza vs. Goku.
It'll probably get better as the series progresses since the newbie animators are clearly improving their skills (the preview for this upcoming episode looked decent), but I don't expect it to be all that consistent until at least 50 episodes in.
Considering Super's probably going to run for over 100 episodes, maybe some truly good fights will show up. But I don't see them being all that frequent.

Uchiyama and Ebisawa are the worst two. There isn't really anyone else.
The thing is, those two only have a bad reputation due to their terrible character models, and overbearing corrections. The actual animation was just fine. That's one of the biggest differences between Z and Super.
Naotoshi Shida was working under Uchiyama, for christ's sake! You never would have thought so looking at Uchiyama's "corrections", would you?
Ebisawa was totally overshadowed by Kanno by the end of the Cell arc, so his episodes stopped looking like utter shit very quickly, too.
Super has talented supervisors, but garbage animators. That is its biggest issue right now. You can correct character models all you want, but if the animation is garbage, it's staying garbage.

I didn't say they're saving the budget for the Tournament, even the idea that people believed that was laughable considering what's been revealed about the schedule (and was laughable back when people were saying it, too). I doubt we'll get many any time soon, but sheer amount of episodes planned (and don't kid yourself trying to say Super will be canceled, it's doing FAR too well in merch sales and viewership for that) and the minor improvements from the animators, a broken clock can be right twice a day. Base Goku (RoF) is even with Final Form Freeza.
1st form Freeza one shots SSJ Gohan (RoF), who in turns one shots Ginyu Tagoma..
Final Form Frost is nowhere close however to SSJ Goku, even so I doubt tired Final Form Frost is weaker than his own 3rd Form.
Piccolo got a gigantic power up from weaker than Tagoma to around/stronger than Base Goku (Champa) just by fighting with Gohan, truly the best doctor in universe 7.
