I'm not an Anniefag but I do like her because she had decent development unlike some of the other recurring girls in the series. We might not know much about her but that makes her mysterious and interesting to me. You don't need to know a character's entire life story to like them so whether or not we know her history is irrelevant. She's also somewhat complex since she pretends to be cold and indifferent when she actually does care and feels guilt for her actions.

In Historia's case she was kind of crazy in the beginning anyways, and Ymir was the only one who made her feel human so her breakdown was inevitable. But she grew out of her dependency on Ymir and was able to befriend everyone naturally and become very close with Eren once she found a will to live and a sense of identity. Only that I watched the thing when I was on the plane, and I loved how much they changed Levi's character into someone who's a lot more interesting and entertaining. When it comes to the things I dislike, I do wonder if part of that was because how much more obvious some of the bad things from the anime are demonstrated in the movie due to some of those ideas being anime cliches.
