His series is about shinigami who issue court summons to souls who have missed their due date with King Enma. Everyone working in the afterlife is an individual who died with regrets or sins that they couldn't carry into a new life, and must redeem themselves by carrying out civil service work for the system, but the shinigami are considered the most deadend line of employment for hopeless cases.
The series follows Tsuzuki and his work partner Hisoka (shinigami have to work in pairs to prevent them from making selfish actions while in the mortal realm - not that it really helps), who have both died under mysterious circumstances that link them to the main villain.
The robotic birds belong to his friend Watari, and while 001 and 002 mostly amble around the research lab, 003 joins the department office on breaks, and is a good friend. Bluebird is his personal messenger and tracking bird. The 'hell chickens' are the Gushoshin, the librarians who manage the records of the dead. Sometimes the Gushoshin are forced to step in when there's a shortage of shinigami.

I don't think that has ever happened, especially since by the time I can even get home to start drawing, the threads have been active for 10-12 hours, so the majority of requests to be made are already there. Sometimes anons request something else in a new thread that piques my interest, but by then if I'm already started in another delivery I will continue with it. Rare occasions are when I have drawn something I don't feel is up to standard and scrap it completely. But I don't look at a request and go, "meh I guess I could". My reactions are typically stronger, so dropping out on a whim is unlikely.

It really depends. If you like jokey shoujo that goes off on sidestory tangents, never digs into its main mysteries enough to be satisfying, and is always more interested in pretty eyelashes than consistency then sure. Most people will come away thinking it's too homoerotic and unfocused. The most recent arc is the only one I can truly say was well planned and written, and it's been going without a conclusion for over ten years now.
If you're inclined to overthink vague character relations and sad dead guys staring at each other, you can get far more out of it.
The anime is pretty much cheese and fanservice. It cuts out most of the female cast, dicks about with what story it does cover, and throws in more guys getting too close for comfort. Also, the chins.
