This is honest to god Index's last chance at a season 3 before all hope is lost. It they announce it anytime after this it will come as a legitimate surprise to me and probably most people.

Let's give it a serious thought for a moment, what kind of organization could that be? I seriously doubt Kamachi will introduce another organization, that's been there from the very start and not use already existing characters. So if we go with that, there aren't that many possibilities.
So, let's just say such a thing exists. On the science side, we barely have any characters to be part of it. Mysteries such as #6/Aogami pierce are pretty much the only ones. Then we have Accel, who might have gotten an invitation along the way, but that would be kinda ass.
Magic side would have Laura, but she's already the boss of the English church. Still, it could be possible with her.
Etzali could also be part of it later on, similiar to Accel.

There isn't much more to Index, she only has three types of scenes. Her most common ones are the slice of life scenes, where she's mostly obnoxious. Next she uses spell intercept and songs to aid in a handful of fight and lastly, she's a walking library for Touma. She doesn't do anything to place herself in a better position, she just stays at home waiting for her hero to return.
Mikoto at least goes out of her way and helps him numerous times after she learns his secret. Sure, she's slow as fuck, but it's better than the endless nothing from Index.
