I care about rescuing the abused girl from her shitty home with the use of time travel. Expand on that. I like that. It's cute. It makes me feel warm inside. It's the only relationship that got any development, and it was the best part of the show.
It's also literally the only reason anyone started watching this show. Those first four episodes were magical.
I'd give it a 6.5/10 overall, because I like the beginning so much. But that ending is bad.

I'll go as far as saying they didn't develop his relationship with Airi enough for her to be his "second chance" at the end of the series. The reunion and the smile made me happy, but it kinda falls apart if you choose to pick at it.

Just finished the manga. Anime ending was definitely rushed but the manga ending dragged on way too long. If the anime was 13 eps and managed to have the character development of the manga ending (read: BASED AIRI) with the setting of the anime ending it would be great.

I really liked this series, I really did, the OP, the pacing, how the story was telled.
But the last chapters are a complete clusterfuck, there are lots of things left unexplained and the timing is terrible.
The main objetive was to save the Mom (clearly the best character), but then you spend 10 episodes trying to save a cute grill only to end up in a coma for a fuckton of years only to end up finally catching the killer and ending up in a bridge with a girl who doesn't even know you.
I skipped the chocolate bar and the unexplained Revival shit because I bet you're already tired of reading about those.

I honestly couldn't care about anything that happened in the adult scenes, I would've preferred it if the entire thing was just from the character's childhood without the whole time traveling from adulthood shenanigans, it would've made the relationship with Kayo less creepy (let's be honest, at the end it's a 29 years old guy trying to have a relationship with a little girl), they could've expanded on the assassin's story and have more time to do other things since they wouldn't have to waste time with Airi, because even if I liked her character, she had 0 fucking development, it felt forced.
Maybe start it from 2 days before Kayo's death, we get to meet Yuki in a deeper way, we actually get to see how Satoru acts with his friends before the whole superhero deal, we don't get stupid issues like "how come the cops didn't catch him or Airi in the streets for so long?" or "why is the 29 years old guy so good at acting like a child", and it would make the whole romance with Kayo less creepy. It could even keep the time traveling stuff with him going back in time a few days after Kayo's and the other girl's deaths, we could even keep his mother's death with making her figuring out somehow.I'm just a butthurt Kayofag that saw the story lose it's potential.
