Why in the fuck are there so many instances in anime were girls are God like Madoka, lain, and Haruhi?
I don't know but it gets my dick hard.
Because men felt awkward when they were told "Jesus loves you" and opted to make a female version of him so that they feel less awkward.

I can't speak for Lain because I've never been able to understand what goes on in that series well enough to get past episode 5 or so, but neither Madoka nor Haruhi actually "become gods."
Haruhi was already a god, or at least a god-level reality warper, from the very start.
Madoka "became hope," and/or became a universal force like gravity or electromagnetism. She doesn't really have any influence outside of the Law of Cycles.

This. Gods are not such a big deal in shinto, so its not unusual to see many of them. But you see just as many male gods in anine.
