This is exactly the reason why I'm even more pissed they announced HO the way they did now than I was two years ago. Now that we're at the end I'm fucking pissed that it has pretty much 0 chance of a second season based on its reception in japan which could have been ENTIRELY avoided if they didnt bait and switch index fans during the '14 fall fes.
I admit that I was jaded against it for the first half but the past 12 weeks have left me wanting more of it especially knowing that the cool shit that happens in the later novels, megalodiver, son-of-a-bitch, and simple is best, will NEVER be animated. Once they realized that object battles are fast paced gun blazing fights is when HO got good.

The last time I remember it happening was when Accel World and SAO we're airing at the same time which led to Accel World being overshadowed by SAO and pretty much killed off until recently.
