Someone in an earlier thread came up with the idea that the lights will go out the girls see a figure, they both confess thinking its Raku, the lights go back on and then realize it was each other.

That's what I've always believe. He should have built the story around the original love triangle. The harem shenanigans never went anywhere and there were no point at having 7 girls around Raku when he only ever paid attention to two.
Is it safe to say at this point that the girl 2nd most likely to win is Tsugumi? I think it's reasonable to say that Chitoge and Tsugumi are a package deal.

At this point I'm convinced that a 3p with Chitoge is more likely than a girl other than Chitoge winning.
Between Chitoge x Raku x Kosaki and Chitoge x Raku x Tsugumi I find the latter to be more likely.
It follows then that Tsugmi is the 2nd most likely to win. In fact she's practically the only viable candidate for a 3p. It's been built into her character development.

In somewhat realistic terms, Shuu's suggestion is pretty levelheaded. Fond a girl you like and see if things work out. If for some reason things don't work out, you split up and start searching again. If the other girl still likes him and he likes her back, why not give it a shot? Maybe the 2nd one will have what it takes to keep the relationship going.
Shuu's suggestion is only unreasonable if you think of love as shounen style "gotta find my one and only eternal soulmate". All the girls here were written as perfect mates anyway.

I took a look myself. For both, Beelzebub and Kuroko Baske, they didn't announce anything in the style of AssClass. They just wrote in the issues before their last ones that they would end.
So Nisekoi doesn't have to get a 5 weeks prior notice that it will end. They could end it on the spot.
