I give any show I watch 3 episodes to give me a reason to watch more.

I don't feel bad if I drop a show, because if you can't draw me in within an hour, then you probably never will.

I suppose you could say I do feel guilty.
Whenever I "drop" a show, it just means I stopped watching but have the intent to finish it. One day, sometime, in the future.

I've only consciously "dropped" one show that I can remember -- Haruhi, some time around 2006.

When I stop watching a show, it's usually because I'm suddenly busy and distracted, or I'm just not interested enough to remember to watch the next episode.

I don't even drop shows. I just stop watching it and then never finding a way to finish it. It really isn't a contious choice for me.

Sometimes it's better for you to drop a show early on then possibly stumble upon it again in the future when your life perspective may have changed than struggling through it just to add a +1 to your anime watched list.

I have yet to drop one single show. The reason i watch them till the very end is to have a complete opinion as to why it was completely garbage. I could have easily dropped Darker than Black after like 5 episodes and i would not have missed out on anything. But no! I watched it till the very end so that my opinion that it is garbage can get all the way through and leave no room for arguments such as "you did not even finish it", "it gets better by the end".
