I personally enjoyed the ending and it left me with a warm feeling that you don't normally get in anime. Especially romance anime. 90% of romance anime ends bittersweet due to BS melodrama. Yuko regretted leaving her true love so it made perfect sense.

While I throughly enjoyed it ghost romance troubles me. The reason being is he cannot impregnate the ghost so how is he supposed to continue hos bloodline? I think the shrine girl would have to act as a surrogate. In my autistic head cannon that is what happens so I can fully enjoy the ending.
