Not really, no. There's no real plot and there's nothing to keep it going without the show becoming stale. After they go through all the character they can muster, and after they milk every scene worth milking, do you really think they would have enough to last a decade?
The ones that last the longest I think have a timeless feel. But Matsu feels very, very mid 2010s.
Also, both previous animes lasted a little over a year. At best, this will get about as long.

It's very comfy. I wear it pretty much every time I go out. The only problem with it is that the matsu/pine symbol is printed so be very delicate when you wash it in the washer and dry it in the dryer or else it'll start to peel off. Mine is still fine, but just a tiny part of the edge is beginning to peel off. However, I think some super glue can fix that right up.

I think it's kind of overstating it, but sometimes, the -Kun Matsus wouldn't do things together. There are a lot of good ones where it's just one or two who take the lead roles.
That said, I liked Showa a lot more. Iyami is great in Heisei, but the poorly animated hijinks of Showa have their own special charm.

Keep your expectations incredibly low. It's being produced by Otomate, a notorious little girl game brand that sanitizes everything they touch. I can guarantee here and now that unless they have people involved with the show overseeing its production or actively contributing it will be a massive disappointment. Personally, I'm expecting the Matsus to barely resemble what they're actually like in the show so we'll get this weird mixture of their defining traits and their F6 forms.
