sorry to tell you this anon but most anime's after the late 90s - early 00s look overly simplified in detail and animation.
To me one of the greatest best animated and most detailed animes ever for me will ether be ZETA gundam or maybe megazone 23,but then again i have a real soft spot for that era of anime,so i might be acting a bit bias towards that era.
