Well I understand the justifications behind it, but it's kinda a letdown given chapter 1 and how she was bought as a slave for millions of dollars (which is largely irrelevant now).
The entire cast dynamic is starting to feel like reading a shoujo. Elias doesn't really seem to have much will of his own, which is really common for shoujo male leads.
