You should read before guessing. Renji chose his party and left. Kikkawa wanted to look around so he left, just like that. Manato also left for the same reason but he told them 'see you later'. Haru misunderstood this as Manato ditching them but that wasn't his intention. Someone from another party recruited Moguzo. All that was left was Haru, Ranta, Yume and Shihoru. Haru proposed they formed a party together since they were the only ones left. Then he leaves to look around and gather intel. He happens to bump into Manato along the way and this is when he finds out that Manato was already thinking of making a party with them when he left earlier. The party that recruited Moguzo kicked him out so Manato and the others invited him to join them. They needed a warrior anyway since Ranta ditched the class he was supposed to enroll in for one that sounded cooler. As for Kikkawa he met the leader of a party of nutjobs and they took him in. Everyone in that party is crazy so it sounds reasonable enough.

He actually have slight above average to above average stats in all but INT. Which means he works for all physical classes, even if not excel at it. And in that case, Dread Knight was a good choice as it seems to be the physical class that uses more all stats. Not that anon but I kinda like this twist, the "why" they remembered bits of past life are not because of they are amnesiac from another world/earth but its the side effect of the magic used for their abduction/ arrival in episode 1 (they are grimgar's native somewhere) because the magic fucks with memories of others, dead or alive in the multiverse if there is one. Still, it cant explain the modern earth clothes they appeared in the first episode, guess my twist is shit.
