Gainax is a hilariously overrated studio.
They almost killed themselves over Nadia, got scared over the success of NGE and tax evaded, proceeded to make nothing but shit outside of a couple good 1 cour shows and them died.
Shaft would be god tier if they actually did something other than shitting out whatever the producers tell them too. Still high tier though, in my opinion.
Kyoani and Ghibli are the only studios who deserve god tier status. Kyoani's style of business is literally revolutionary, and by far have the most talented staff.
