Perhaps not underrated but underexposed. Absolute triumph of the medium and one the best things of the past decade and a half but it slips under almost everybody's radar.

The manga was published from 1973 to 1998, by the author of Ashita no joe nonetheless.
I didn't readt it, but you bet there's much more uncovered. The story is supposed to follow his whole career.
I mean, maybe we'll get more eventually, but it didn't have good ratings at all.
It's a shame because it was a comfy watch, and the setting was very refreshing.
