So manga spin-offs...
Main manga: terrible art, boring (imagine GuP without animation and music). It kind of exposed to me how much of a visual media GuP is, so at least for that it was worthwile. Saving grace: has character development for Erika of all people (chapters 15 and 23).
Rabu-rabu: often funny, but not as good as lovey-dovey panzer
Maginot: Saitaniya mostly learned how to drawn after practising on the main manga. The story is good, but since the heroines lost against Ooarai and Anzio their struggle was meaningless.
Little Army: actually character-driven, ads something to Miho's story, new characters are okay. Good.
Little Army 2: Emi and her delinquents are pretty endearing. Focuses on STRONK tanks. Art is good, but everyone has sameface and there are some expressions that are constantly reused. It's good if you liked Emi is LA1.
Ribbon Warrior: Mostly carried by art. Artistic representations of the scenes (aka Rinvision) are great, facial expressions and character designs are great. Rin has nothing going for her besides being a lesbian. It is definitely the most entertaining of all.
Oh and also Comic Anthology: a bunch of stories, most are comedy, some are more character based (Erika's pride). Can't really rate due to varying quality.
So which ones are worthwhile? Well, if you like garupan, then all of them. No other way.

I was just reading this manga where the translator felt the need to explain what some baseball term meant, even though it was just an off-the-cuff remark that wasn't at all necessary in order to appreciate the story. And if something is a reference to Japanese culture or history, I feel it should just be left as is without a big note explaining it. If a Japanese person were reading this and THEY didn't get the reference then they would just look it up, or ignore it. Isn't it more authentic if our experience is the same?

This would kind of make sense, with all this "manga-only characters can't mess with the main series", but considering how short on wins Shizuka is, I highly doubt it. I mean the first chapters hyped Hime as a scumbag version of Miho and a few months ago people were going on about how much of a Mary Sue she is, but now it's been a while since she's actually won anything.
My bet is that BC Freedom will ultimately win, but Centipede will get rekt for sure during the process. This would show appreciation for both KMM and BC and radical changes they introduced recently.
The problem with Ribbon Warrior is that it isn't obvious what values are at it's core so it's hard to determine a winner beforehand.

Both are very defence oriented, much better suited for after-Kursk. Since Germans were on the offence, driving Panthers into enemy's formations and exposing side-armor would have been bad. Although it would have obviously been twice better than Panzer IV. But Panzer IV probably has better explosive... I dunno.
Tiger I was still the best tank in the world during Kursk, and T-34/85 has not yet been made so no, Germans were properly equipped regardless. Although I don't really see what "relevant" refers too. Anyway, it had Kwk 43 so it was useful against IS-2 tanks although it rarely fought them. Against Shermans/T-34, it was hilariously excessive.

Dude, I'm not a tactician. From ambushes or just defensively in the back like they intended to? They were extremely dangerous like that and were able to take out more than 1 enemy tank due to relatively quick reloading. You'd need a good crew that could retreat backwards without exposing the sides. Good logistics to deal with operational range. And air support not let them get bombed. So basically, for defence in your territory. It was used as intended I think. It's just the whole army and industry were in a really poor shape. Imagine if they had good steel.
So why make a tank like that? Panthers could handle medium tanks pretty well and they were cheap.
Well, they knew about new Soviet tanks (IS-2). They knew that Tigers and Panthers weren't equipped to fight them. So they designed the tank around the Pak 43 gun (not picked a gun for a tank like usual) to snipe the enemies. But IS-2 had a pretty specific purpose - urban combat. Shoot, retreat behind a building, change position while reloading - those were the most important skills for the crews. They rarely fought against each other.

As far as I can tell, the reason for the diacritic is that cretin is another words which means horse dung.
