Doesn't work that way. Yeah, you're self-aware that you're going to be super emotional and all that, but that doesn't stop you from feeling super irritated, depressed, or whatnot, and when you feel that sort of depth of emotion it's kinda difficult to take a step back and say 'yeah, I'm just being hormonal'. Most of the time, you wind up saying things you don't mean to people who are your friends in the spur of the moment, and generally, act like massive bitches, regardless.
Fortunately, everyone kinda has a tacit understanding that yeah, sometimes you're just acting up, and so forgiveness is found easily. Lotta drama, though, mostly from a mixture between boredom with static relationships and hormones.
