Kaguyahime is the only one who gives us something new but Arrietty was almost perfectly executed.

I'm seeing higher numbers for Marnie (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2014-09-14/japanese-box-office-september-6-7/.78778 , ANN could reasonably have fucked something up, though), and a $10 million budget. I can't find budget for Summer Wars,, but even if you add in some decent advertising costs or something that aren't included in that, Marnie's profit margin is still over 100%.
Also, not that it matters, but that wasn't Hosoda's first movie. Even discounting the Toei stuff, The Girl Who Leapt Through Time came first.

Arriety was meh/10. I haven't seen earth sea which is supposed to be utter shit, so for me Arriety is the worst Ghibli I've seen so far.
Marnie was actually decent. Sad to see it perform so badly. Then again Kaguya - an instant classic and Ghibli's last masterpiece bombed too, while disgusting Hollywood kike shit like "lol they are so retarded xD they are just like us!" Minions makes $1.2 billion.

Marnie was pretty meh anyway, specially when compared to miyazaki and takahata movies. The animation was nice but nothing special, althoug sometimes it looked wierd, the story with the whole thing about the encounters made no sense even when you assume "it's magic ain't gonna explain shit", the music was forgetable and MC was a bitch (fucking cunt, pig-chan was cute and friendly).
The art and backgrounds were gorgeous though and the side characters (mom, aunt, uncle, glasses loli) were great.
It's average when compared to other ghibli movies. But it's still better than inside out, I agree. But it's not like the oscars matter when it comes to quality anyway, it's just glorified jewish advertising.
