Ultimately, his troubles are often rewarded with yet another addition to the Harem, and they all mostly get along, because Bitches Love Freeman. Even though they have different personalities and if it weren't for him, would literally fucking kill each other. (Maybe not the first one, at least early on. She might seriously have a go at the others after being with Yo for a while. The other two, under normal circumstances, would definitely try to kill each other, for sure.)

I mean in the first couple episodes he talks about getting revenge, but then just kinda drops it for no reason. I just found it really off putting when all the romance between Kazuma and Ayano was going on. I couldn't help thinking "didn't she set him on fire." I dunno nips like MC forgiving everything and never holding grudges but it struck me as unrealistic especially considering how pragmatic Kazuma is.
