Just started the 4th book of Apocrypha. Jeanne has some good moments, but even with the explanation for it the gap between her personality in and out of combat doesn't play super well. The rivalry set up with her and Shirou (Kotomine/Amakusa) is promising on paper, but it doesn't look like it will go anywhere until the last book because they've had all of one scene together so far.
She kind of feels like a VN heroine in a story where the VN protagonist is just one of an ensemble cast. Overall, Mordred comes off as a way stronger character.
(I guess some of the people posting pictures might care to know that she confirms she can get pregnant despite being a servant because of the whole Laeticia thing.)
