Honest the "run away together" is such an old cliche, this isn't even exclusive to Sakura or anything.
What's particularly annoying is that whenever it's a female character, her solution is to "find boy I like, run away with him". Whereas a male character will generally opt for "I mustn't get her involved in this! I can't drag her into my battles!"
It's just so predictable that we end up calling the heroine an idiot because she didn't realize she was acting out a formulaic trope.
