What the hell? I didn't even know that crap was auto checking for updates. How do I disable this? I don't see anything in the xysubfilter tray icon context menu. Or in the madVR settings either. The doom9 thread looks like it hasn't been touched in ages either. Is this also related to the problem I'm having where MPC hangs for like 5 seconds before playing the first time when madVR is being used?
What do people even use here anymore? Is MPC-HC+madVR+xysub no longer the gold standard?

Why would you even use codec shit? MPV doesn't have any advantages over a properly set up MPC.
I just use that k-lite codec pack with mpc, which I downloaded like a decade ago, and everything works fine.
