Haha no.
Worst Shaft show in years, even worse than Mekaku.

Yes I did. It was very pleasant. A nice thing to watch after work.
>>136323583
It was really bad.
>>136323853
How is that possible? At least Koufuku was comfy. And we got to hear Asuka Ogame again.
>>136323583
I cried, Grandma was too sad
I don't remember. I watched this on the ass end of a "Who can watch the most anime in 72 hours" competition with my friend.
I lost by 10 episodes.
I vaguely recall it being about food though.
Taberuu~
>>136323583
I liked it. It made me recall when my grandmother passed away two years ago.
>>136323583
I loved it. Almost became my AOTY
/a/ hated it. very mean.
>>136323583
I was moderately healed. 7/10
Tsuyuko best girl.
By far.
>>136323583
I left it behin and didn't watch more episodes. I still don't know why they pushed this project given it was barely known. Instead, I really appreciate the series for introducing me to Kotringo because the OST is very nice.

Moshi moshi baito desu
I hate it when a character is explicitly high school aged or older but because they look younger than they are, they're treated as or act like a child. Purple was the only energy in the show and cute as fuck, but her role was being the child-like character that needed things explained to her so the audience can get an explanation, too. But because the things she was taught were nothing more than "this is how proper Japanese adults act," it came across as heavy-handed, condescending bullshit. She's supposed to be approx. the same age as the browns!
The other characters were uninteresting, and the food porn made me a little uncomfortable instead of hungry, mostly because it didn't seem to be so much about the food as pretty female mouths eating food and moaning about it.

I'm waiting for superior eating/food anime to get adapted
>>136323583
It was really boring. Even though watch alot of slice of life and moeblob shows and I spend literally half my waking hours cooking or studying about cooking this isn't interesting at all.
>>136327650
>thinks KG is about cooking
Yes, it was very relaxing. The girls were marry-and-live-with-forever material.
>>136323853
All the girls were good
Mekaku was far worse
Sasami was worse although it had plenty of good parts
>>136327720
I watched K-ON, Gocchiusa, and Working to the end. KG I dropped after a few episodes.
>>136327981
>still thinks KG was about cooking
Yeah, K-On and GochiUsa were more your speed after all.
>>136327312
They were 14 and in junior high school actually. I get what you're saying but I was more annoyed by big tits living alone and being so mature and nurturing. She was too Mary Sue.
Anime makes me feel ashamed for being so immature at that age even though I realize writers do those characters because they're bad at writing children. Regardless of whether or not it's realistic, kids always live alone because the writer can't write parents either 100% of the time the trope occurs. They should all be more like Kirin.
If the story needs mature characters who live alone, authors should just make them be adults, but this is anime so we can't have that.
>>136327853
Sasami had much more interesting premise. I should read the novels now that I'm in Japan, but my backlog is endless as is already.
>>136328024
>easily depressed
>lacks confidence

Also:
>the writing is bad because it portrayed characters that didn't fit my limited world view
It was pretty good.
>>136323583
Had good character designs, Satou Rina in it and had good niconama but the show itself was mediocre.
Anime when?

I liked it. It was very relaxing. The OP was good too.

Best girl on the left.
I loved it.
Three gorgeous girls, tasty food, comfy feeling, great soundtrack, partly really beautiful beackgrounds, nice humor, and the cutest previews I've ever seen.
The only negative thing was that weird shoujou-like style of the foodgasm scenes.
AOTS Winter.

I don't get all the hate it gets. It also had a nice soundtrack.
>>136331868
The soundtrack is great, almost Sora no Woto level, even more surprising that the composer hasn't done a lot work at all.
https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/people.php?id=94746
About the hate, I get that people just feel bored, SoL shows are just like that, you always have some you find boring, even if you are the biggest SoL fan ever.
I wonder how many were put off by the fact that Mari Okada wrote it.
I want to fuck Kirin.
>>136323583
I liked it for just hearing Kirin's voice.
>>136332681
That's a natural feeling.
Kirin is so adorable, that cute noises she makes when she walks
Will this anime motivate me to learn cooking?
>>136333229
It might motivate you to fap.
>>136333229
Somewhat. This show is mainly about eating rather than doing cookings.
It was really bad, it wasn't comfy it was just plain boring. The previews and OST were the only good thing about it.
/a/, generally speaking, loves all-girls slice of life but this one was dead after the first few episodes. That should be enough to tell you.
I liked it, it and Rolling Girls were underrated that season. The comfy was a different kind of comfy but still good
>>136332014
I didn't even realize Mari Okada was involved until it was over.
>>136334347
See, as long as she doesn't get drama to handle she's doing a great job.

It looks much more appetizing in 3D. I also saw this same recipe in Hanasaku Iroha where it looked edible. Does anyone know what that brown sauce is? It looks like diarrhea but it can't be worse than ketchup.
>>136327036
/a/ loves almost every SHAFT work, even Nisekoi (the first season at least since S2 objectively sucked balls) so I don't know where'd you get that.
This, Mekaku and Salami are some of the few that get a measurable amount of hate.
>>136323583
Just watched first ep and it looks cute as fuck. Will cleanse my soul with right before sleep /10.
>>136334702
There are some Sasamifags that occasionally appear, but you're right.

Too symmetrical for a McDonald's Burger.

Which topping was the stupidest and most Japanese? I have to say pasta on pizza.

I feel sad when anons complain about the art shift food scenes because that's where Shaft blows the budget on every episode. It's unique to the show and recognizable and, yes, it's weird, but I don't equate weird with bad.
Found the Hacka Doll episode on youtube so here's a link to the parody scene (4:24)

Guess I'll just leave this here then:

Pretty good/10
It's kind of in a weird place: too lewd for the average CGDCT/iyashikeifag, too slow for the average ecchifag. I'd watch more shows like this though.
>>136338562
>too lewd for the average CGDCT/iyashikeifag
It's less lewd than Gochiusa and Yuyushiki though, just as an example.
>>136323583
It had potential, but just never really clicked. Not much in the way of humor, not much in the way of tugging at heart strings. Just kinda flat.
They managed to make the food in a show about food look unappealing.
>>136338620
Yuyushiki's lewdness is pretty much all talk and almost no fanservice, though.
Compare that to the bath scene while sucking on milky popsicles.
>>136337743
When I started watching it I was looking forward to seeing some recipes I might be able to try for myself. Stuff for inspiration. Then it ended up being bamboo shoots and popsicles and konbini junk and flowing somen and Japanese "pizza" and charcoal grilled fresh catch. My face when
>>136330786

Koufuku had some great use of the Shaft repertoire.
Koufouku was basically Sketchbook.
Both shows got the mono no aware treatment by Okada.
>>136329104
ED looked like it was planned as OP.
I vaguely recall trying to decide between this and fafner for AOTS at the time. I don't think I ever came to a decision.
>>136339206
This is true.
The food drawn by the manga artist looks great though.
I liked it a lot. I enjoyed the strange lewdness of the eating scenes -which eventually just circled back around to be comical by the end, and those aside, I found it to be a really nice SoL that managed to feel like it was actually moving forward between episodes while still being mellow.
Watching Ryou slowly get over her grandmother and get back to enjoying life was really heartwarming, the humour was great, and it was always relaxing to watch. I don't think there's a single episode I didn't enjoy.
I really liked it, use to watch it in the morning before getting out of bed, it was such a nice way to start the day.
Can't wait to see Shaft's next comfy anime.
